I agree with the comments on inflation etc quite a bit to go before anything settles. Hopefully, we get positive news later. CWU Facebook saying announcement later this afternoon. Perhaps when market closes.
Some headlines on the new hub capability

I caught up with the CWU session. DW/AF could not have been more explicit in the reasons behind the need for the proposed agreement to be accepted. Of course, the members will decide but CWU have spelt out the business plans.
I also note 2nd class letters to be pegged to inflation until 2029 but pricing cap to be removed on parcels.
Ha ha Redceo busy last few days and family arriving tomorrow. I am not sure why shareholders are asked for solutions to revision failures etc I am happy to leave to the people that are paid to do that and implement what is in the agreement
Rolandrat I have commented in the past about my views on recovering QoS and options open to the business. I am interested in the figures you quote, and you obviously must have access to national figures. Not sure what your role is in the business as back on 1st of May you stated " and work in delivery, not management. now today you are a senior manager. Bit confusing
Ispy I remember the pensions holiday but not the details. This as you may have read is being taken from an Escrow account that was set up in 2017 and when valued in March 2023 held £196m and will still be left with £70m which will go to the new pension Royal Mail collective scheme.
The surplus has obviously been built up by previous contributions and although my initial reaction when it was first mooted that it was a bit naughty but if it helps individuals now maybe that's better than just sitting on a balance sheet with the proviso that it doesn't impact on future benefits.
Will need to read the whole document again on Monday. Have a good weekend.
Dynamofc sounds a bit odd for the business not to give the reassurance that the assurances given in the agreement will be actioned. Unless the business is content to see a no vote. I can understand why the CWU are worried as a no vote will likely mean a change in the CWU Exec. IMO
Broch I agree re revisions and can be demoralising to look at failure each day. The QoS will need to show its improving and the remedial measure will be put in place. You mentioned a date for the ballot has been agreed do you think there will be any delay. What's your opinion of the vote outcome and do you have a feel for the office views. A medium size office with a fair mix of duties might be a decent barometer.
Broch I think your ex manager is winding you up. Amazon have account managers and are in daily contact and agree volumes coming into the network. Contracts are set up and prices agreed for all types and sizes and different service. They will not be getting the service for free perhaps a good contract rate that must also be made available to other customers.
Oligarch if the revised deal has nothing new just commitments to stick to reviews, achieving QoS etc I still think it will be close. As it drags on and on, I think some may say Yes just to allow people to move on. I know you can't base it all on a few thousand comments on FB from the more vociferous, but deliveries will carry a lot of weight. I am now thinking 60/40 yes with a variable of + or - 10%.
Oligarch I agree never happens....I don't know the detail of their bonus scheme but suspect that will be only one element and QoS area and National figures and budgets etc. IMO stupid to keep hiding failures and not align resource to workload correctly. As always it will be the minority that may try it on. What's the 69% you mention is that the remaining CWU members that can vote? lol
Dynamofc thanks for the update. Was that a national or area call with CWU? Do the sticking points suggest there is still not a deal ready to go to the members? The USO nor the revisions can be dealt with instantly both will take some time. Good to see the CWU want to move quickly now. I do hope any accusations about managers falsely declaring stats is passed on with evidence. I hope it's not like when the CWU were saying the BOD were manipulating the financial figures.
Stupid for any manager to do that as they are only making it worse for themselves when any review happens. You cant say you need more resource if you are clearing to spec every/most days.
Good news as you say on the premium products possibly partly driven by IA as some people may have used to guarantee delivery, whatever its money in the bank.
Ispy I recall the personal work allocation but that could be taken to extremes, exact number of items, DP's, walking distance, weather etc, surely it must averages over a period. These challenges are not new what happens now if an office clears now, is that likely, no one can ever produce a 100% model given all the possible variances. Overtime and agency are meant to give an element of flexibility. I think I understand re doing overtime after finish time which feels okay to me but if someone finishes say 30 minutes before finish time and they are asked to do a 2-hour piece of work, they get 90 minutes overtime. I can't comment on use of PDA for pay unless it fully tested and shown to be accurate and validated baselines.
Broch that's what I expected to be high on the agenda but as Ispy said it feels like repetition of what has already been discussed/agreed. I will be interested to see if the CWU and the business make any further reference to USO it did look like they were going to do a joint representation to Ofcom. The review of revisions will hopefully allow things to get back on track and if it needs some hours/resource back in so be it. Looks like any costs for any pay deal if accepted will fall into Q2. Not sure when we will see the savings due to VR and attrition until half year update.
It will be interesting to gauge the reaction to the announcement and the mood of those that contribute online.
