Oculus, not defensive, just a good memory for FUD spreaders of old. :-) Suggest you concentrate on MCRO where you know the ground much better. Your knowledge of *respected* media channels - LMFAO at both references! - is somewhat lacking too. Good luck with MCRO, now off to the filter box you pop.
Bumping this up for new holders, with apologies to LTHs who know the drill already!:
With sincere respect to the more professional traders here, your aims/knowledge differ from LTH. We've done the research on the tech, know the potential for growth and the value from that perspective. This pattern of volatility has played out before, and let's face it, no traders would be wasting their time here if they thought DARK wasn't going make them a BIG profit.
Personally I'm too busy to spend a whole day on here sparring with the troll-trading army and wading through FUD, so here's a handy copy and paste `Reasons to Invest/Hold'. And remember, if you don't like rollercoasters, jumping off mid-ride is a hiding to nothing. Feel free to repost if the noise gets too much:

`Darktrace were the first to apply unsupervised machine learning to the challenge of detecting threatening digital activity within corporate networks, with the aim of combatting novel cyber attacks that bypass rule-based security tools.'
`The multiple layers of machine learning that make up Darktrace’s Cyber AI, and how they are architected together to create an autonomous, system that self-updates, responding to, but not requiring, human input.'
This is just a few bits of news I've pulled. I don't need to ramp DARK, it's easy enough to do the research. The muppets trying to panic holders into selling too cheaply know this is worth a lot more.

Beryl, you've been around this board a little while now. Be very wary of traders offering you advice, particularly at times like this when they're attempting to panic inexperienced holders into selling. Many are laughable and transparent, others a bit more devious. They masquerade as `concerned investors' at times, but if they weren't on this board previously, my advice is to treat them with suspicion.
Dancing Buddha, you're not very `enlightened' about this company and therefore, as Benny Hill says, a laughable attempt to create FUD. The IPO and a consequent RNS both made it clear that a massive R&D exercise was underway. Poppy Gustafsson is an award-winning CEO - no worries about bad management here.
Off to the filter box you pop to languish with the other troll-trading accounts.
Evening all, glad I stayed off here most of the day, as it kept my head straight and as a result I'm fairly philosophical. I have confidence in the company and the management, I know why the SP has dropped and that it'll rise up again. It's just about having patience and riding it out.
Lending, that's such a well-observed post. We built a great board of LTH here, but the lines got blurred too much along the way. It's clear now that the extreme ends of the spectrum aren't reconcilable and the blurring of those lines have been to the detriment of this board.

Neil, you have to ask what would be the motivation though? It's normal behaviour for an SP to dip when a lock-in ends, but we have the problem of being linked to ML and his ongoing battle over extradition. Also we're a tech share which is a sector that tends towards volatility anyway.
This happened previously when a few II's got released early from lock-in. They were soon absorbed and the price moved upwards. A few of us LTH - and traders like Claire - have seen this all play out before.
It's not really news though is it? We knew the lock-in would end end and the Lynch case has been going on for donkey's years. If it wasn't for the Lynch case, no-one would batt an eyelid.
The investment case is very strong for those prepared to look past the FUD.
Excellent post SBB and very well observed. And they wonder why all the best companies end up getting sold to the US! For those who've done their research on DARK it's just a matter of holding, waiting and picking up more if the SP gets into silly territory.
Cheers Charles and Hitcat :-) Having worked in the industry, I can confirm hatchet merchants who cause upset tend to move up the greasy pole quickly. They're often given more work than their colleagues and for your average freelancer that can make all the difference between a good week's wage and a bad one. However, today's news is yesterday's chip paper.
We expected some turbulence around the end of lock-up, however we know the dodgy PH note began the tree shake earlier. A suspicious person might ask if that was purposeful when looking at the huge buys that occurred. For example, a good news RNS coming out next week, would upset a few fund managers original plans coming on top of FTSE100 inclusion!
We shall just have to see how it plays out and use our knowledge to buffer us if necessary. DARK are already undervalued compared to their real competitors like Crowdstrike and it's a given that the partnership/collaboration with Microsoft and AWS Cloud Services are going to be bringing substantially more customers/revenue.
Personally I would love to see Lynch and his wife begin to very slowly sell off their Dark holdings. Seems to me it's that one present and remaining association that's bringing unfair negativity from certain quarters.
Thanks for posting Sirtreeman. Know thy enemy! Typical Torygraph, repeats the discredited Peel Hunt note and selectively picks out a couple of bits of unverified information to fit the writer's slant and surround it with a load of emotive claptrap and old Mike Lynch gossip. No wonder they're giving free subs, pretty desperate stuff.
Especial, regularly updated comparison table here https://monevator.com/compare-uk-cheapest-online-brokers/ AJBell charges are 4.95 after a small amount of buys a month, but no escaping stamp duty as far as I'm aware.
