MM its like PL has said yhe testing now is just a stop gap and a trail with army/boots on the ground to trail how mass testing can reduce the R number and get some semblance of normality back.
The consensus of Bojos statement as I understand it is that the real game changer test will come in the new year and by spring everything will be grand, 100m tests per month?
Affaman, yes I think so Saliva is difficult, Mologic may or may not have Saliva nailed but maybe just Affimers are going to nail it.. I hope so :)
PL regarding Mologic as u know its a bit of a closed shop info wise, but there is a recent youtube video with a chap from Mologic stating their lft is looking to get CE mark in October.
However they potentially have both swab and saliva lft in the pipeline so I dont know which the CE will refer to.
Its here from 10mins mentions oct CE and they are agnostic to the sample, swab or saliva its really about ease of use.

Even if it is the Saliva one Avacta are still not far away and with the Gates foundation connection and funding I would say they will have commitments for initial production.
I believe odx and particularly AVCT will do very well.
Mate i cant even see that, is that the recent presentation?
I have watched it ffs.
JS correct, home use lfts, sovereign tests, both fit the bill and they wont be able to manufacture enough
Must have missed that bit of Boris's statement?
TM was there really any need to start a thread 'ITS MOLOGIC' on the avacta bb?
People both here and there have the sense to see the market is going to be huge for home use lfts, its a market that wont be filled ny any one test.
If you could refrain from your childish nonsense these bbs would be a lot better off.
Demand for lateral flow antigen is going to be immense, odx will utilize what ever production capacity they have.
Mologic or avacta or both or anybody else who comes up with a top class home use AG LFT will sell the lot.
Monkshood cheers for the reply, you certainly know your stuff.
I think that link and to an extent your post are a tad beyond my skill set.
I didnt see it as a concern for our testing prospects but interesting nonetheless.
Cheers
Monkshood what do you think HPGR (Host-Pathogen Glycan Recognition)
Different approach from Iceni re mutations, I think they were mentioned here before?
It looks a very interesting little company, unfortunately a limited co. although they were seeking angel investors about a year ago, if you were willing to stump up from 100k.
Iceni Diagnostics is developing a new approach that identifies the virus - not by its genetic code, which can mutate, but by using its reliance on chains of sugars which are constant and unchangeable.

They maybe should have went this route initially instead.
The Sona lab has recently completed work on a the next evolution of its rapid COVID-19 antigen test which aims to use saliva samples, building on its existing technology, providing for less invasive sample collection. The saliva test would use the existing Sona lateral flow cassette. The Company expects to announce more details and clinical testing plans for the saliva test in the near future. This test would require a separate submission to regulators for approval to be used as a medical diagnostic device.
Christ the lord do some invested here not view the presentations?
I will even tell its all on p24 Sparta.

MW it was me called you out and I wasn't reveling in the demise of the SP here.
I was reveling in the thought of odx manufacturing for avacta after you betting all your ODX shares that they will never manufacture for avacta.
I couldn't care less who odx manufacture for as long as they do, I hold here and imo wisely topped up 10k late afternoon.
It is your incessant, continual attempts at degrading/deramping AVACTA , they have no test, never will have a commercial test etc etc etc, just look at your own posting history ffs.
You have been at it for months, its obvious you are not and probably wont invest there so please STFA from there.
Thank you
Give him a break hes really a charitable guy and not in it for the profit luckily.
Or could it be that Mologic are not greedy capitalists that have a primary objective of maximising their wealth out of this pandemic ........
..........Mologic are a dark horse here because they have a fantastic team of capable experts driven by tackling the pandemic and providing solutions, and not by profit.
I think that ODXs small manufacturing quota are taken with current commitments.
The rns mentions mologic everywhere except in reference to possible expansion for AN antigen test, if they ramp up production at Alva I really do think it will be for Avacta.
Not that it matters to us, and I certainly wont bet all my Avacta shares that they will.
