Sharehunter I laugh when I see ill informed people compare ODX with AVCT.
Its apples and oranges mate, the value there is in the IP that it owns.
Its PreCision pro chemo drug pipeline has the potential to replace all chemotherapy, that alone is a TAM worth many 10s of billions. Phase one data due this year.
Also with its affimer IP they have the ability ro replicate any antibody without the th IP issues of antibodies.
They have a pipeline of TMAC drug conjugates targeting a TAM of 100s of billions. The pre clinical data for the first of these is immense. If this is recreated in human trails it will truly be ground breaking for many types of cancer.
Thats not to take away from the many tie ups they have with major pharma worldwide. If just one of these deliver then it will be transformational for them.
Apologies for going on about AVCT on this Bb but I feel holders should be aware when they are being directly compared here.
Bob i think that is from its previous close. So pretty much flat overnight.
BBs when I first read the RNS with my tired early morning eyes I missed the full stop and misread leaving me thinking ODX would be manufactured all the ukgov demand... There would have been a few rockets.
You are right we will all find out soon enough.
Great info thx Regulator.
Bigbangs I get where you are coming from for sure but that is not what is stated in the RNS.
Bigbangs this is what it states in the RNS.
The Company anticipates that the above actions will provide the Company with capacity to produce approximately 2 million tests per week by the end of April, when combining the Government-loaned equipment with its own manufacturing equipment.
My take from that is 2 million per week in total.
Happy to be corrected.
Sage i think AS was highlighting our best performing spike protein LFT as he was putting it in context the hybrid S1/N test with Mologic.
Also for reassurance read the info posted by doze earlier this morning suggesting less cross reactivity from S1 and other coronavirus.
And great post from Ab8dct with his understanding that other N antigen tests may be using N rather than S1 protein due to easier antibody production in animals.
Nproteins are highly immunogenic so cause an immune response and the body makes antibodies against it really well - there’s quite a bit of evidence to suggest it should be used instead of the spike protein for vaccine development. But as the N protein has this property it’s really likely superb antibody reagents could be isolated as it will cause a strong response in animals - animals would have been used to make these antibodies. It’s likely any Affimer generated by Avacta couldn’t better this binding, so the Spike Affimer, which is best in class, would be something the company would focus on - my best guess!
Thanks for the info Bushmaster, I just googled those ingredients, Artemisinin has been used for thousands of years.
Natural medicines have potentially huge future growth and I intend to dip the toe in here tomorrow.
I dont think ArtemiC actually contains Cannabinoids.
Yeah I would be surprised too.
Maybe they have done so already but to use that as well would have meant a complete redesign of the LFT so was deemed best to push on with the spike antigen, especially as the analytical performance is very good.
I suppose we may find out from adeptrix if they are using an affimer for the N protein as well, hopefully so.
Any thoughts why Monkshood?
The Adeptrix guy said in the interview they were designing a S1/N BAMs assay.
As far as I am aware its not known what reagents are used for that one.
I thoroughly believe AVCT has immense potential in all timescales but still many blanks to fill.
Cheers
