Ahfam3 - that’s a typical lefty luvvie thing to say -“if they wanted to cure cancer and HIV they could easily do it but there’s no profit to be had and so big pharma hasn’t bothered. . . . . ill-informed, trite nonsense if I dare say so but of course, lapped up by pea-brained conspiracy theorists the world over.
Why do you suppose there is no profit in a cancer cure whereas science has gone on to develop cures for countless other, less significant ailments?
Why do you suppose Sareum is bothering to commit resources to developing therapies for auto-immune disorders if there is no profit in it and cures can be found so easily????
Naive to say the least but to help give you a reality check -
The world currently spends around $167 billion on cancer care. As of 2918, there were 4693 organisations currently involved in oncology research in 107 countries with only 17% of these being “for profit”.
Perhaps you might like to re~examine your perspective??
I’ve been invested in Sareum on and off over the last 5 yrs, currently holding 1.1 million at an average of 1p and so the last few days have been very exciting.
I’m familiar with Sareum’s research and line of work but decided to find out a little more about the company . . . . all of 6 employees!!!!
As directors are also employees m, does this mean the heart that bears within a Sareum is down to a mere six dedicated and very clever people???!!!!
I’ve been holding since before Icewine and lost a ton of money on that project but have learned my lesson. In the last couple of weeks I too sliced, recouped my losses and made enough for a free ride from here on in. Still holding 2.5 million shares but wondering if I should have just cut an run. A chance of success of only 37% and a binary outcome is one hell of a punt for £100K but too late now to worry.
Good luck all . . .

is a wonderful thing. In the last 10 days, I've sold 3 million shares at 1.51p, 1.67p and 2.70p. I had no choice. I was massively over exposed and lost loads on Icewine but at least after 5 years, I'm now back in profit and have a free ride with my remaining 2.4 million shares. Even if the company goes mammaries up, my ii trader/ISA accounts will still show a small profit.
I read somewhere that even at this stage, the chance of the drill being a commercial success is only 37% but given the upside and the fact I'm now fully derisked, I'm going to sit tight and hold on for the ride partly because I have a gut feeling this is going to succeed. The only thing that might make me derisk further would be the option to leave a slighty larger pot on failure but it will take a price of 7-8p before I will even think about it. Disposing of my excess holdings just a week early "cost" me £65K
My First post . . . I've been holding since 2016. Have traded throughout - made a bit and lost a bit but basically a LTH. Currently have circa 3.5 million in my Trading account and 1.5 million in my ISA. Totally over exposed and so will be looking to derisk at some point this week. It's been one hell of a sweaty ride but I'm just glad that this appears to be coming good and at least I can now topslice sufficiently to enjoy the rest of the journey with a free pass.
I have a question - why does the NY exchange affect the price on AIM other than just sentiment??? Are shares traded on AIM also available for trade on the New York Exchange? In other words, when a holder sells, ordinarily the MMs would have these shares allocated to a buyer but can the MMs also shift their holdings on other exchanges?? If so, I can see how NY opening could increases demand and affect price on AIM but if not . . . it's purely driven by sentiment. I'm trying to decide whether to top slice now or wait for NY to open . . .
Hi, I would like to say hello . . . I've been gradually buying up 88E shares for the last 18/12 and currently sit on a holding of roughly 6,200,000 shares. I have endured the ups and downs of this share with a mix of bemusement, excitement and frustration. That said, with a sizeable chunk of my retirement fund tied up in 88E, my interest in this company is currently brown and smelly - I'm literally pooping myself . . . . still, I have faith in a positive outcome and this latest news gives added security.
Youngba - please accept my apologies but I can't resist it. Given 4 drilling prospects, each with a chance of success of 25%, the chance of at least one succeeding is 1 - the chance of all failing. This is the easiest method!! The chance of all failing is 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 and thus the chance of at least one successful outcome is 1 - (0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75 x 0.75) = 0.68% - still good odds.
I notice that in a later post you referred to a chance of success of 50% -I'm not sure where this came from but if you adopt this figure, then the chance of success is indeed 94%
My intended strategy has always been to sell off around half of my holding at some point in order to achieve a free ride on this share but I missed the boat at 4p and then more recently at 2.8p and all because . . . . I held on too long in the expectation of further rises but hey ho, my incompetence may yet prove to be my salvation. Good luck everyone
