As previously notified on 29 December 2020, the Company's COVID-19 testing service has been added to the UK Government's approved COVID-19 private testing providers list for General Testing, and the Test to Release for International Travel scheme introduced on 15 December 2020.



Whilst the Company is engaged in commercial discussions with a number of parties for the supply of COVID-19 testing kits, no contracts have been signed to date, nor is there any certainty that any of these discussions will result in commercial agreement.

(AIM: CPT ) announces that it has agreed to outsource manufacturing for myLotus® with Abingdon Health allowing the Company to focus on product commercialisation.

The Company has signed various agreements with Abingdon Health Ltd ("Abingdon Health"), a leading UK rapid test developer and manufacturer, to acquire Concepta's lateral flow test manufacturing site in Doncaster, for the technical transfer of the manufacturing processes, the further development of Concepta's lateral flow devices, and for the continuing contract manufacturing and supply of myLotus® testing strips.

As part of the asset purchase agreement, Concepta will assign the leases on the facility and machinery, transfer the staff, and will sell residual manufacturing equipment to Abingdon Health. Under the agreement Concepta will receive a total cash consideration of approximately £0.3m.

The change in manufacturing strategy follows the announcement made on 29 January 2020 to further improve the efficiency of the Company's cost-base. Having already achieved a 30% cost reduction across the Company, this move to outsource manufacturing is expected to generate annualised overhead costs savings of at least £0.23m.

We buy tests from Ygen and sell so why can't we do the same from Abingdon or Avct? I assume they will be selling the Pcr version through the retailers.

The thing is you need a pcr test to confirm the results for test and release

All are connected Abingdon bought our manufacturing site. We have a deal with Abingdon for their app which is ready in 2022. Avct have a deal with Abingdon now Avct booked a trademark for their software after a deal with Abingdon called AffiDx so are they using Abingdons app for that? Abingdon will be manufacturing for Avct and us. It would make a lot of sense if MHC become the retail Distributor as they are in discussions with retailers assuming that is Boots and Amazon. I am amazed they have not done a deal for lfts yet in Covid.

Davand just pcr at the moment in the Covid test but I am wondering if they will join up with Abingdon Avct and sell their Lft tests
