Sounds like that currency hedge hit hard.
Just a slightly contrarian position - of little impact, but obviously the ban on western/some Asian airlines from using Russian airspace means an increase in flying times for some long range aircraft. So you know - every cloud and that..
Believe the deal was originally mooted for 40 x A350 - but it was for a new airline being called RIA funded by the Saudi public investment fund. Project had hired a former Etihad director, but he's apparently no longer involved (see link) suggesting the project may be in difficulty, although the article says its due to be announced in the next few months. Wouldn't expect any announcements soon. [Also note, never heard of the website, so might be a pile of excrement]

Thanks for sharing that - interesting and enjoyable listen.
@Eusebius - you think that likely? My thinking is that the current price levels are likely to be supported in the run up to full year results at least, then they could drop depending on the content.
To make £500 off a 5p movement in the price you'd need 50,000 shares worth £43,000. I can't imagine you're throwing that much money around if you don't have at least a £60k a year job unless you're either: a) retired, b) a drug dealer or c) stupid.
Yeah got some spare, but need £200m for it. And a seat in the HoL.
"PPE Medpro shares an office at 85 Great Portland Street with 12,804 other companies."
Hah. I set a company up there.
well the resident cup and handle chart monkey appears to have gone quiet, but even if you do put any store in such alchemy - the recent uptrend does appear to have broken.
Given each of these uses 2 × Rolls-Royce AE 1107F turboshaft and it just got announced that the Bell model has won the competition over the Sikorsky, I'm a little surprised the SP isn't doing better today:
"Its win sets the table for an initial acquisition worth up to $1.3 billion. According to the Army’s program executive officer for aviation, Major General Rob Barrie, a follow-on low-rate production phase could be worth roughly $7 billion and a fully-realized production run including potential foreign military sales may come to somewhere in the neighborhood of $70 billion."

Shares in issue 8,367,596,989 (RR website) x 1.27% (shares short according to LSE) = 106 m
All of this could be wrong, but this is my back of the *** packet calculation
Currently between Kinbury and Naya there is 1.27% short (so something like 106,268,482 shares that will need to be rebought at some point), so when those begin to close there will be some upward pressure on the price, although clearly they'll buy them back as cheaply as they can.
Mean's they have had to rebuy the stock to clear the short position (they already borrowed shares, sold them, and since they now have to give the shares back to the owner, they need to buy them back on the market). So it essentially means that there was some form of buying pressure, but more indicatively it means that at least one hedge fund now doesn't believe the stock is going to go down much anymore.
@ybhere
Interesting find - I particularly enjoyed how Radiant Nuclear used an image of an An-124 'Ruslan' transport aircraft in their intro slides. Wonder if it was meant to be a Ukrainian one or a Russian one. Tickled the AvGeek in me.

Buy the rumour, sell the news.
Well theres the answer. -1.5%
The sun goes up and the sun goes down. Saw an opportunity to derisk at no net loss and took it, money is still sitting there if the stock falls - if it doesn't well I've still got a sizeable chunk at an 80p average. So thats a win win in my book.
Sold out a position that I'd taken in the 60's, and closed out my high positions in the high 80s/low 90s
Net result average down to just over 80 and for the first time in months I'm showing a 0.08% profit.
Zing.
Got myself an Irish passport and checked out in March this year. FWIW - I had no idea it was going to get this bad in the UK, but its nice to have one (personal investment) choice turning out positively for once.
