Personally I don't think there will be but If there were to be another crash like before I dont see stocks like this, William hill and the many others with good fundamentals falling the way they did. The world went into a state of shock and panic. It's going to be bumpy and all businesses have been effected. There is a lot of money out there which needs to go somewhere. I'll buy more if it drops. What does really surprise me is that there has never been an approach for the business, new owners or a combination with another business, unbelievable.
Makes sense hopefully people will need a helmut and security device to go with them. I'd like to see more swimming gear, wet suits, boats and dinghies in the stores, you'd only need one on the display, sat in between camping and cycling or around the walls of the shop. Just sell so much other handy stuff. The garages have probably had a slow start but that should only increase now. I wouldn't want them looking to increase the number of stores at the moment. Supplies or Demand problems - I still prefer some disruption, a lot of other businesses will be having similar. Going to switch of from this for a few weeks. Fresh air and exercise.
Not ideal but very little is - I accept the problem of stock continually selling out - the car servicing now being busy - I accept. Re the situation I think this is more likely to be bought out even if this doesn't happen I think the pe will be around or under 5 next year with virtually no debt. Come on PE or Tesco make my day.
I'm feeling that this is horrible thing affecting so many people and I pray that it will go away eventually and that people will be OK. It will change behaviour Halfords seem in the right markets with the right product mix. Even their stores are quite spacious. Irrespective of whether there is mention of the dividend, which personally if they could I'd like to see a small dividend, but mainly keep as much money to buy products and improve services, I think this a good long term hold. I would be absolutely amazed if they haven't had some interest in the business which given the way things are would be nice for shareholders, even if there isn't it should surely be at a significantly higher value than this. Wonder what they will make next year and the year after and so on. So personally I would chuck it in the bottom draw and check back every 3 months. That's what I will be doing. All the best everybody and take care.
Thanks for that I think having a secure job counts for a lot at the moment. I guess no dividend and no bonus temporarily might go together, hopefully soon to be resolved. Not a frequent poster so all the best to you.
Read through the posts it is quite incredible what they sell (bikes, outdoors stuff like camping, car servicing) probably just about the best things to be selling now and even with a vaccine this is a behavioural change situation which will boost this long term, 10 years, 20 years, 30 years, longer.
So just a thought anybody thought about the attraction of this business to something like Tesco, Sainsbury or Asda given they could shut some sites which could be accommodated on their existing sites.
Good luck everybody, stay safe.
These are my thoughts. Some good and some bad posts but I don't agree with a lot it - it is for me at least, one to put away and forget about. Maybe it will drop some more maybe it won't but in time it will be a lot higher than this. You need to have a golden eye to be able to judge that. Good luck. I strongly recommend leaving it and checking back in at at later date.
Long term project. Cars and luxury cars especially have some good years ahead. See you in a year, assuming it's still listed.
Nobody could blame them if institutions don't want to buy, it's not their fault and so it's going to be a low price so maybe the placing price. Anyway that's my input on this board. Good luck and remember quality stands the test of time.
If the price stays like this why wouldn't some consortium not just club together and buy it outright, get it off from the stock market casino which might help ensure the quality of the brand which has massive potential.
I'm guessing if the price doesn't get back to a reasonable level quickly then this is toast. Mind you a takeover might inject new ideas and strategy so it might not be a bad thing. Plus it would be at multiples of the current share price. Gl
Me as well might be back. There are now plenty of potential doubling and trebling share prices. Gl
So I think your reply was just what is scheduled, maybe we asked different questions.
I contacted IR - the next scheduled update is on the 14th May they will make an update in the meantime if the board considers it appropriate.
I hope that things keep improving for Premier, I feel like I've grown up with the products and still use many of them. I do know quite a lot about the business and know the business has struggled for so long, nearly went under but has been growing sales, strengthening brands.
The debt seems to be going down. Any prospect dividend? Do people expect the pension scheme to still be in surplus? I think it should be or a very small deficit if at all.
No disposals for quite a while, anything due? With sterling value and the likely sales boost, takeover imminent? Starting 65p plus, higher, lower?
Any comment welcome, positive or negative?
Good luck all,
Money handouts to the self employed up 2,500 pounds , a good bit of that should find it's way into the til at William Hill.
Continued isolation leading to health problems and irrational gambling.
Help with the rates maybe wages reducing costs.
Oh my god.
I do not think it acceptable for a company of this size to operate without a CEO there has to be an offer either way I think the share price will rise exponentially, maybe takeover better. Attraction free cash flow and prospects.
I will accept 75 pence I think it's a fair price. Go on go on go on.
ps I might move a bit maybe 30 pence or 3 bottles and a box of chocolates.
Hello, Oil will not stay low forever. This share is all about who wants to buy it or what parts. Unlike shareholders some companies take a longer term view than weeks and months. The virus won't last forever. Good luck to you, chin up.
The thing that always worries me about the oil price is that it might be rigged, get it!!
Got to be David Bowie at times like this.
It's the terror of knowing what this world is about - great lyrics.
