With Energy costs going crazy along with labour, supply chain costs all increasing too ! The All In Costs (AISC) must be increasing at HUM by around inflation (maybe more with energy costs). Add 8%-10% on last years AISC and what do we get ? Where will POG be by year end ? - In my book we have more risk on ?

For those of you attending the AGM on Friday, I thought that I would put a little note out !
This will be my first Enquest AGM and to help you recognise me (January) please note the following -
On the day, I will arrive wearing my Baby Blue Shorts with my Yellow and orange Zara flip flops !
You will also notice my Tottenham Hotspur Shirt with the words " Pride Of North London" on the front and "Steve Perryman is my Dad " on the back ! Sadly I will not be wearing My 18ct gold medalion as it is at the menders being fixed. My wife "pulled my chain" last week and broke it !
As for appearance - 5ft 10ins tall . Medium build, No fat as I am organic. Some say I look a bit like Margaret Thatcher, but with short hair ! - hope this helps - See you all Friday !

Your idea my be great for the likes of you and me. Yes keep shares and collect good dividend. However AB does not think like us !
I do not believe for one second that he would walk away leaving someone else (another CEO) to influence the value of his holding.
To gain maximum value for his holding he will want to choose when and how much he sells it for. A sale is his solution. If Enquest wS sold it would carry on trading within its new owner, so not sure how your final comment really makes sense .

Your suggestion won't work as it leaves AB open to black swans destroying his divi. Also to do a "Bill Gates" he would need to walk away. Can't see him keeping his 11% with him letting someone else running Enquest. No, he is 100% focused on Enquest today . In the future he will be 100% focused on his foundation - its just when ?

I agree with you.
I feel sure that AB does not wish to be CEO of Enquest until the end of his day's. His Charitable Foundation will be his next move in life. My thoughts.
But when ? Surely the best exit, due to his massive holding, will be the sale of the company. As per Auson 's suggestion. The next question is when is the best time ?
When can you maximise the sale price ?
Surely that would be when POO is very high, along with profits!
My thoughts are debt down to 0.5 in 2022. Then sell in 2023. Maybe before if a great offer came along !

I guess that the market needs to be convinced and see POO stay high for a while first.The market will go back to adding value to Enquest over weeks/months all the while POO stays up high. The value will eventually come out in the share price over the coming months.
Unless you believe POO will go back to $60-$70 . Which in my opinion will not happen for years, if at all.

The fact that as of today, now Enquest is valued at £534m.

Yet we are on target to produce $800m of FCF just for 2022. Even when I convert this to British Pounds it equates to £638m.

How on earth then can we be only worth just 10 months of FCF ?

Could be right. The silly fools have used 65% and not 25% of profits.
They have used 65% and reduced some due to North Sea investments and come down to 36%.

You may be on to something.
We know production is 50k bad. We know POO is well over $110. Therefore we know the financials of the company are sound. We have the Capex,Opex etc.
We know the FCF and profits will be massive.
Therefore something must be going on behind the scenes. A takeover would explain it !
AB has done 12 years here. He must have had an exit strategy in mind back in 2010 when Enquest was born.
Perhaps the time is now ? Best sell when POO is high.
Is this the time ? I believe he set up his charitable foundation for stage 2 of his working life. You may be spot on !

Fall today purely due to Barclays related and the algos response. Through in a bit of shareholder panic and stops being triggered.
These things usually sort themselves out. After all we are making around 70m a month FCF at these POO .
September half year results will correct the valuation if the market does not wake up before then.
