Jubilant Energy, an India focused oil and gas company, has reported successful test results from the fifth development well of the third phase drilling campaign in the already producing Kharsang Field. The well has now been put into production at an initial gross rate of 138 barrels of oil per day. In addition, an interval between 1526.5 metres and 1530.5 metres has been tested for gas at an average rate of 2.3m standard cubic feet per day (mscfd), while a second interval tested gas at an average rate of 2.2 mscfd.

Mobile marketing and digital entertainment services firm InternetQ posted a rise in revenue from €37.3m to €50.1m after a rise in the number of users. Adjusted profit before tax leapt 42.2% from €2.3m to €3.3m, leading to earnings per share of €0.12. Cash and cash equivalents on December 31st was €10.6m, including restricted cash of €0.9m. "Mobile device connections have reached around 5.2bn at the end of 2011. Based on an analysis presented by Google this translates to some 3.7bn unique users. There are just 1.2 bn PCs in use worldwide," the firm said.

Rock Solid Images, an oil equipment, services and distribution firm, has received an offer from Thalassa Holdings to acquire up to 25.89 per cent of the company for 0.48p per share in cash. Rock Solid is concerned that Thalassa has provided no evidence that they will bring any "added economic or industrial assistance to the business in the next phase of the company's development". With regards to their own shareholdings, the directors do no propose to take up the offer.

Afferro Mining, the AIM-listed iron ore explorer, is delaying the 115m-dollar sale of its stake in the Putu iron project in Liberia. Afferro agreed to sell its 38.5% stake in the Putu operation to the majority owner Severstal but frustratingly for both firms the Liberian government decided to whack a 15% tax on the transaction. Afferro says having taken legal and tax advice it does not believe it is liable for the tax. Both Severstal and Afferro will continue to discuss the issue with the Liberian authorities, with a new "outside" closing date scheduled for April 4th. Afferro shares have risen 9.4% on news of the revised deadline

Elesewhere, the group's Europe division is performing well, while Asia Pacific has continued to deliver strong growth in both order intake and sales. The company is continuing to focus on expanding the operating margin and believes that these will improve again in the first half of this financial year compared with the same period last year. The firm was keen to emphasise that it remains confident about the prospects for the business.

Shares in scientific digital camera manufacturer Andor Technology dropped on Monday morning after it admitted order intake from the Americas in the first quarter was weaker than expected. The firm said that while the situation improved in the second quarter it still expects the order intake from this region for the first half to be slightly down on the same period last year. "It is important to note that no significant business has been lost," the company said. "Rather, this is the result of more prudent stock management on behalf of our OEM customers who are predominantly based in the Americas.

Yes im in ldp from the 0.08 days,bags of potential there,and we have bag's of potential with pma aswell,the country is rich in natural resources,Dont think production will be in 2014,but at least we proceding well with all the sampling it all takes time,but its the end result that count's...

The gold grade, when referred to in connection with the mining of gold ore is the proportion of gold contained in the ore, calculated as grammes of gold ore per tonne (g/t) of extracted material. The grades of gold ore can range from 1 g/t up to 10 g/t or more. The higher the number of grammes / tonne that can be extracted is more profitable the mine, as long as the operating costs of extraction do not deplete the cost per ounce. Some gold mines, such as deep shaft gold mines have high operating costs and are only viable if the gade of gold ore is sufficiently high to offest those cost. Mines that operate on the surface can survive on much lower grades of ore as their extraction costs are likely to be lower. In recent years the grammes / tonne grading of gold has been increased across the board due to a greater quantity of gold being able to be extracted due to increased capabilities in the extraction process. With the price of gold at it's current levels, it has become viable to utilise these improved techniques to extract gold from gold tailings and gold **** heaps.
