i never expect everyone to agree with me. What I DO expect is that if someone posts their view on a subject, I be allowed to post mine too. If they find that to be provocative, that is not my issue............it's theirs. And often, I fond their post to be provocative and do post a counter opinion, but I do NOT ever try to infringe on theri free speech. I earn what some would consider to be a good salary.............I am educated and work hard. IF however, what I have to sell ever became redundant, the way I see it I would have three options (1) Retrain into something which has better prospects (2) Live from my savings (3) Take a much lower paid, less skilled job. Because the world owes no one a living. Not even the sick and mentally ill, but my choice and preference is that my money goes to take care of those people who are less fortunate out of compassion. Noth through right though. If you want to talk rights..........there are two kinds: (1) Those we sign up to as society, laying down rules that all agree to live by (2) You can eat what you can catch and kill.

subscribe to the 'global village' outlook on things. Governments and states are becoming increasingly irrelevent. I do not care where a person was born, or what their race or colour might be, I care only about their ability and willingness to do a job. There is nothing in me that thinks being English is 'better' than being anything else, or more deserving of a job. Benefits are a trickier issue..............I feel that someone who comes over to live on benefits should be turned away. That said I feel that any English person expecting to live on benefits without any real effort to accept or look for work should likewise be totally cut off from MY cash, unless of course they are provably underprivelidged in some mental or physical way. The money saved by not giving Idle wasters a handout.........I dont want back in my pocket, I'd prefer to see it distributed to the REAL cases so that they had more than a subsistance level of income.

I honestly have very little sympathy with someone who 2 years ago would not take a job offered, despite a lack of qualifications and commitment on the grounds that it's too hard or too dirty.............who is now complaining because someone else DID do that job.
