I have been has excellent discussions with a couple of my collegues who are also serious investors and they know more about land-based O&G exploration than I've had hot dinners. They are both now fully across Zephyr and have said that the future looks extremely bright indeed based on the latest report. Meanwhile, the key phrase in CH's RNS is:

'I am pleased to report that we have opened a data room with multiple potential partners CURRENTLY (empasis added) currently reviewing the project data. The completion of the CPR will now enable more substantive discussions to take place.'

The independant report speaks for itself. More RNS news (JV, farm-in, or buy out) will be imminent within a couple of months. Current Zephyr shareholders can relax or maybe add with confidence...new shareholders ought to look seriously at Zephyr as shareholding with an obvious clear and present ROI in the short term. IMO

@kipperfoot Not sure if you are invested in Zephyr or not...doesn't sound like it. Either that or your do not understand what proven potential means. Anyway, do you really think your back garden contains 'Proved Recoverable Reserves' that rival Zephyr's...?! If so, don't waste your time on this Zephyr discussion board...get out there with your spade lad and start digging for China! The most you'll recover is grass, soil, maybe some hardcore and a few bottle tops and broken beer bottles from the builders who built your house. But hey ho, happy diggin...! Lol

Great RNS on all fronts. Well supported by the market , up over 10% on the day of the RNS..

To me the kicker is:

The next RNS will probably announce a JV of some type...or maybe a buyer in the data centre will think never mind the JV...'We offer 10p per share and assume all debt in order to buy all of Zephyr'.

You know what they say, 'You got to be in it to win it!'. However, as always, most investors will continue to wait, and therefore miss out on the multiple RO to be had here. Not JO though - very pleased to have decided to remain a shareholder!

@Icecool and @Graff In response to your post...

This is a Wood chatroom - what is the point if it is not to share views, predictions, scenarios? Pretty pointless otherwise. You seem to think I am here to influence other private investors here. Now what would be the point of that?! The vast majority of Wood shares are held by institutional investors. Even if all Wood's private investors voted 'Yes' or 'No' it would make absolutely zero difference to the outcome. I have previously explained (not that long ago) that it would be best to vote 'No' if the accounts are 'OK', so as to up Sidara's offer on a second round. I have said I would vote 'Yes' if the accounts are 'bad' and justify 30p. Whereas, you both scream at every opportunity to vote 'No' under any circumstance! It matters not how any of us vote - it will NOT be decided by private investors in any way, shape or form. As private investors, we are ALL spectators and that is all.

All you both seem to do is try to shut everyone down who does not agree with Icecool's 'sack the BOD, negotiate with lenders and make hay once more'...and Graff's 'there are lots of other investors and they must pay 60-90p!' narratives.

I play out a few scenarios/details and provide information based on my knowledge in finance and as an investor. No one here is right or wrong. Nothing is black and white...it's all grey. Very few (if anyone) has predicted the Wood situation to date, least of all Icecool with his ridiculous fairytale outcomes, which could not be furthur from the truth/reality of the current situation that Sidara will buy Wood - and probably for 30p...maybe a second round to 35-40p IF we are all lucky!

All I want is the best possible ROI in my Wood holding. Simple.

You both seem to jump to the dark side as soon as you read one of my posts. Well, that is your issue not mine. Your negativity and lack of commonsense and constructive input is somewhat boring and mind-numbing, I think I'll spend my time elsewhere from now on. I have felt my input is somewhat (actually mostly) wasted here, and especially with such blinkered posters as yourselves.

I will now watch Wood from the sidelines - but doubt I will post here again. If Sidara buys Wood for 30p, or another bidder increases it, then I am happy and that is enough for JO.

With regards to Bob's info on the merger of Wood's Consulting & Projects' Divisions...

I cannot help but think that Sidara has played a serious hand in this merger of divisions. Better to have Wood kick-start the process than for Sidara to have to start in upon buying Wood.

It is obvious that Wood has already sold parts of the business/assets recently that Sidara are not interested in... i.e 'divestments (which includes Wood's sale of its North American Transmission and Distribution business for $110 million). to the tune of $275 million in order to 'pay down debt and corporate expenses'.

As we know, Wood has not generated any sustainable free cash flow since 2017 i.e. cash outflow from 2017 to 2024 of $1.5 billion. So Wood needs Sidara's offer in order to obtain access to Sidara's cash injection in order to manage cash-flow issues.

Of course, all eyes are now on Wood's audited accounts which MUST be completed by 31 October for Sidara's offer to stay valid. Let's remember too that Sidara's other key criteria is that Wood’s auditor does not issue a 'modified opinion in relation to the FY24 balance sheet'. This is important, and means the auditors will be under severe pressure to produce a 100% clean and thoroughly tested set of accounts...which is why the audited accounts will only be completed at the eleventh hour i.e. very late in October. Anyone who has worked closely with auditors under these circumstances will fully appreciate the pressure to deliver 100% accurate accounts within this relatively short time-frame - especially with an international company the size and scale of Wood.

Anyway, it would not surprise me to see one or two other announcements from Wood (probably vis internal email to Wood staff) with changes - no doubt driven by new owners Sidara. Well a 90% chance the new owners will be Sidara anyway. At the moment it does not appear that there are any other bidders who have expressed any interest in Wood. Hopefully that will change forthwith upon publication of Wood's audited accounts!

Well Graff we all know that you are in deep trouble with your 55p buy price of Wood. That is unfortunate. Now if we can attain an increase from 18p to 90p, that would be a very nice earner...and make all the later investors of Wood a very pretty penny indeed. What's not to like...?! All dreams aside, I doubt Sidara or 'someone else' is prepared to pay 60p let alone 90p. The offer on the table is 30p and the Wood BOD seem very happy with that...in the case of Monopoly...their 'Get of of jail free' card! If Wood's audited accounts are 'OK' i.e. good enough for another investor to enter the ball park, then we may be lucky and achieve 40-45p. Fingers crossed!

Zephyr expects to see substantial progress in key areas

Zephyr Energy PLC (AIM:ZPHR, OTCQB:ZPHRF) is expecting substantial progress in key areas in the coming months, as the Paradox project in Utah advances toward development.

Specifically, Zephyr is working to secure gas sales and export arrangements, as well as advanced talks to potential partners to enable an accelerated drill programme, to step up the number of wells at Paradox.

In the six months ended 30 June, the main highlight was Zephyr's successful well test, which delivered a peak rate of 2,848 barrels of oil equivalent per day without pressure drop, ranking in the top 6% of similar US wells. The result suggested that future 10,000-foot lateral wells at the Paradox project could yield 3.6 million barrels of oil equivalent each.

A newly update competent persons report is due 'shortly' and is expected to further underline the opportunity in the Paradox. Meanwhile, the Zephyr team is focused on practical matters.

"We have continued to invest significant resources into the development of our flagship operated project in the Paradox Basin," chief executive Colin Harrington.said.

"The production test demonstrated the considerable scale and potential of the Paradox project and reaffirmed that the Cane Creek reservoir can be developed in a highly productive manner, on par with some of the leading oil and gas plays in the US."

He added: "We look forward to the coming months with confidence as we continue to open-up the next prolific oil and gas basin in the U.S., and we look forward to providing regular updates as we advance through the next phase of our development."

Zephyr, which also generates income from the stakes in non-operated well, on Tuesday released financial results for the six months to 30 June 2025, in which the company said continues to deliver strong returns.

First half revenue totalled US$6.3 million (net to Zephyr), though volumes were reduced compared to last year due to a number of factors, including a temporary shut-in of six wells and natural well decline. And, Zephyr reported a gross profit of $3.1 million.

Production in the period averaged 684 barrels of oil per day, to reach a tally of 123,798 barrels for the six months.

Zephyr expects to see higher volumes in the second half, as its new acquisition of wells kicked in from June.

Harrington told investors that Zephyr remains focused on opportunistically growing the non-operated portfolio, whilst highlighting that June's acquisition was the first to be supported by the firm's Zephyr Hawk LLC joint venture, which is able to back transactions to the tune of $100 million.

Actually the turn-around from publication of Wood's audited accounts to recommendation is quite fast. It doesn't take institutional investors/analysts more than one day (two-three days maximum if senior executives/management needs to be involved) to properly read and interpret audited financials, and make recommendation the next day.

Don't worry Icecool - you haven't missed much...Carrot is still trying to wiggle trying out and escape from the middle of Olaf's face! Lol

It would not surprise that CH and co at Zephyr has already lined up agreements/comtracts with third parties - that are subject to a 'favourable' CPR. It could be that these two events i.e. CPR and agreement/s with third parties are released via RNS within a very short time frame.

X date not state.

Once Zephyr announces it will move into meaningful production on X state then it moves into the next league. The share price will rise accordingly very very quickly. Either wait for that or sell out. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.

CH has said there is about to be a number of RNS releases on the positive side. Obviously something is up but like most things it takes time to finalise.

@Hydras Agreed. The start of meaningful production is key and that is what I mean by the next 1, 2 or 3 RNS releases. Allowed confidence statement about production is needed, whether that be a fireman or a partnership or something concrete. Also and confirm start date is key also. Get that right and CH will be praised by all shareholders and will attract the support of investors and the share price for rocket. If CH is unable to do this, then the best bet would be to prove potential and sell Zephyr and all its assets to the highest bidder. All IMO

@Carrot just read your song and dance. I must say you and icecool’s rivalry knows no bounds. You are now trying to out to each other in a songwriting contest! Lol

@Carrot Er what are you smoking?! Sidara’s offer is 30p… if another bidder enters the fray you may be lucky and get 40 to 45p. Anything more be somewhat of a miracle. Be happy to take 30p but more is always good don’t you think?! Lol

@Papduke. I know you have been invested in Zephyr for a long while now. Whereas I am a relatively new entrant. The six month report was a 'pass'. All CH now has to do is to step up to the plate and take a swing at the ball...either start serious production...or sell Zephyr for a decent price to those who want to add Zephyr as a 'bolt on' to their own business and make hay while the sun shines! For now I won't add as I have a decent enough holding, so I will hold and wait. IMO Zephyr has the keys to the golden gates and golden fields beyond. IMO Zephyr is now 1, 2 or 3 RNS announcements away from take off and it's share price will quickly follow suit! So sit back, wait, relax and make a nice cup of tea for your better half and yourself.

@YoungEngineer Imagine had I mentioned I was an investor in UK O&G Plc previously, and you said it was a 'sham'...so I would not have wanted to remain invested...I would not have benefited from the 400% increase! BTW Yesterday I sold several tranches and have completely sold out of UK O&G Plc...every dog has it's day, and I had mine! Lol. Mind you weren't you one of those - who when I said Prudential Plc was a bargain at £6.00 (my entry point) - you denied it?! Today Prudential is circa £10.40. Then there is BAE...I could go on...
