Whilst we await more skin on the bone with regard to patent infringement cases , sales enquiries , order book , cash position , new licencees , new products etc etc , a huge feature of the last 5 months has been the high volume of trading . Indeed , you have to go back to the dark days just after March , 2015 , when the company issued 120m shares at 1p , to find a similar instance of heightened trading activity . Interestingly enough , the spark which caused this recent outbreak of volume was good news , not bad news . The patent infringement win against Ioxus was announced on 7th August , and that day over 5% of CAP-XX changed hands . Whilst not life changing in terms of damages ( US$ 5m ) , nor in certainty of receipt of these damages , the crucial point was the legal validation of CAP-XX's intellectual property . For the whole of August , 2020 , which saw the shareprice move from 2.6p to around 4.6p , 119m shares traded or 27% of the company . Since then , trading has been equally brisk , 42m in September , 40m in October , 46m in November , and to date in December over 70m , bringing the total since 7th August to 320m , or 70% of the post option exercise issued capital of 456.8m shares . Yet , in these 5 months , we have had only 4 RNS's regarding changes to major shareholdings , and all from CAP-XX's largest shareholder , Canaccord . The latter went from 12% to 11.85% , then to 10.89% , back up to 11% , and now 10.8% , this most recent move being the increase in issued capital as a result of the option exercise . All in all , Canaccord probably accounted for only 10m of the 320m shares traded since 7th August ( 5m X 2 ) ? Whether or not there is a new stake , or stakes , to be announced , we shall see , but , added to all the exciting fundamentals , 2021 is going to be an extremely interesting year for CAP-XX indeed . Happy CAP-XXmas .
