Shorters evidently making great efforts to send this south today but pleasingly the price is on the up.

Shorters are doing a better job of covering their tracks in the past two days but there is no doubt they are driving the market.

Looking at the pattern of short trades this morning, interestingly they are not rounded as they were yesterday. I wonder why?

Looking at the transactions, the shorter are clearly relentlessly driving the share price down. Keep faith, supply chain difficulties will ease especially as Boo source a proportion of their stock from the UK and are about to open their new factory in Leicester.

My conclusion is that on the supply side, Boohoo are in a good position.

That is exactly my point and a big plus for Boohoo.
Others who depend on China are going to have problems in the run up to Christmas.

On top of that, the Telegraph reports today that container shipping rates have risen six fold this year.
So for those sourcing goods from the Far East for example, this will represent a significant extra cost compared to those with suppliers closer to home like Boohoo.

Could a Leicester supply base prove to be a particular strength in a situation where the Delta covid variant is causing severe disruption at Chinese ports with temporary closures and by implication, disruption of factories producing clothing in China?
