I'd be surprised if the solarworld creditors were all super eager to sell; they've had the patience of saints for a long time and you would think, long-term, that the price improves from here.
More difficult to predict what happens with the BCN %age when(if) that comes into private hands. I would expect downward pressure at that point . Maybe that is being factored in already ? Price is a long way off the recent highs.

The way I'm reading it.....if the offer becomes unconditional before 6th October then u could be paid up to 14 days after this date ? Best to read and decipher for yourselves !

I think if u bought shares now, u would still be entitled to accept the offer up until the unconditional date, which is provisionally 14th Nov.
It looks like there will be RNS's (on acceptance progress ?) from Oct 6th
If u accept, then your shares are placed into escrow, but it looks like there is a way to change your mind and take them out again.
If u accept, and then the offer is revised upwards u will be entitled to the new offer.
if u don't accept, then the offer becomes unconditional, then u would still have 14 more days when u could accept the offer.
A few snippets that may help, but TBH there's such a lot of variables, that nothing is really that certain.
As noted on ZNWD board, Solarworld creditors will enter 3mth period this week; which means they can sell up to 25% of their shares......so worth keeping an eye on ZNWD price, it was a sweetener at 26p but has become less sweet recently

''Recipients of New Ordinary Shares representing a combined total of 31,746,554 New Ordinary Shares have entered into lock-in arrangements with the Company giving an undertaking that for a period of three months from completion of the Acquisition they will retain at least 75 per cent. of their New Ordinary Shares (being 23,809,916 shares) and for a period of six months from completion of the Acquisition they will retain at least 50 per cent. of their New Ordinary Shares.''

@Rpks points out that the 3 month period is up and that the solarworld creditors will be able to sell 25% of their shares. They already have their stake in the company.......if they sold shares then that stake would diminish......so a bit confused with some of his post.

Transferred from whom ? we have the recipient but not original holder.
Its possible original holder cannot exercise the warrants and by transferring, can realise value......just my thoughts, and not to be taken as facts :)

I think its Barclays themselves because the 8.3 disclosure starts : ''Full name of discloser''
In contrast to (on other 8.3's) : ''Name of exempt principle trader''.......here I think its a market maker disclosing position changes of their clients.
Still doesn't help me understand why Barclays have nearly 5% short and nearly 3% long
Weiss asset management up to nearly 3% long today as well

Not sure if the 'times' link works, but there was a bit about this on R4 early this morning. Now where have I heard a gas drilling story like this before ................?

Barclays have themselves sold 18M shares short ? or a client(s) of Barclays now have short positions totalling 18M shares and will have to buy back from Barclays at given point in time ?
Second scenario sounds more plausible but I do not pretend to fully understand short selling.....anybody more knowledgeable on here ?
That's still a lot of money betting that the price goes down from here, effectively saying that the deal falls through ?

Ruvuma is the key here - the implied value dwarfs the Mcap. This gas price crunch must surely help to move the process along.

What are barclays doing ? that's a lot of money going short.

CFD - contract for difference? so betting on whether price goes one way or another in a specified short time scale
CSD - cash settled derivatives ? so trading without owning shares ?
I see the Barclays RNS that they have @ 1.5% long positions and pretty much the same in short positions ? Go figure ?
All a bit above my paygrade I'm afraid but there does seem to be a lot of money moving around.
Does this mean that ii's are betting that they will be able to trade the shares at circa 73p without owning the ZNWD ?

Second that @H of H, The formal offer docs will be circulated within 28 days of the offer RNS, as stated therein

@Blond - The formal offer documentation has not been circulated yet. What you should have in your corporate actions re BCN is a voting form to accept the capital reduction and approve ZNWD re-allocation. Two votes, simple accept/ decline. You should, like me, be able to do this by proxy thru your broker (I'm with ii) , or in theory u could do it at the GM which has been RNS'ed

@Foz The reason I'd assume them to be buying is because it would be cheaper for them. Instead of paying us 67.5p + the ZNWDs for each share, they just pay market rate (67p....or whatever) and for those shares they buy, they get to keep more ZNWD for themselves. I take your point about having to make an offer if going above 30%, but they've already made an offer, so does this rule still apply? .....complicated , isn't it ?

@BorderBob - check the RNS's : a couple of institutions have notified that they've gone above 1%. I agree with u, that it would be assumed GF would be buying at these levels, but no notifications from them thus far.
