The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Hi Rook. Do you know what would be involved in a share transfer from one broker to another? Would it be a straight forward exercise or would you have to sell with current broker and buy back with new broker? I'm currently using Nat West who don't support trade on Helsinki Exchange so thinking of using Hargreaves Lansdown.
Surprised there's been little discussion on here regarding the late trades that have occurred over he last two days. close to 2.5M vol today.
....meant to say..."positive impact on the SP on opening tomorrow"
....after the bell. Hopefully this will have a positive impact on the SP.
NASDAQ OMX NORDIC is closed as public holiday in Helsinki.
No idea. I was expecting an RNS this morning so immediately looked for the flashing red dot above. Didn't see one so assumed no news.........someone posted the RNS from another site - frustrating as only picked that up after market opened.
Thanks SK79. Not sure what the percentage split between UK holders and Finnish holders of TALV stock is. I would guess 20% : 80% respectively, loosely based on the vols going through LSE and OMX Helsinki. I guess I'm trying to understand the impact to SP of UK investors bailing should TALV de-list from LSE. I'm still mega upbeat about TALV and do believe this will make good progress over the coming weeks / months.
A little apprehensive but that's natural with TALV. Really hoping we will get some feedback on gypsum pond as the deadline for that was mid-May I believe. Assuming Q1 results are 'positive' and confirmation on Water level in Gypsum pond being achieved, where do you see the SP moving to?
I've averaged down to 1.373 ish but have a monster holding now. Not concerned about the paper loss as the fundamentals are absolutely sound, particularly with Centamin as a JV partner in one of 3 drill projects running. Confident they'll wish to invest more. Excellent time to buy in but DYOR.
Many thanks FIB. Will look at KDR and may tap you up if i need some extra info. I wish you all the best on your investments also. One to watch from me, ALO - but DYOR.
I see where you are coming from FIB. Apologies if my post was derogatory in any way. I feel the current price has held up well since the last progressive rise. Certainly hasn't dropped back to sub 5p levels following the rise to 10p in Dec 13. I would have loved to have seen an RNS today confirming that a funding solution was in place - I'm sure the SP would have been 17p and rising had that been the case. I certainly feel the SP has a strong chance of sitting closer to 9p by the end of May.
Where is the bad news in the RNS posted today. Agree that it serves better for the long run but the current SP should remain relatively stable until we have further news later this month. Whilst the delisting news isn't great, the SP has bounced back to pre-delisting RNS SP so should give UK investors a chance to benefit in the interim.
You sound like you're after a lower entry price. Just read your comments posted in April about TALV. All very positive. Surely a POSSIBLE delisting from the London SE hasn't created such negativity in your view. We'll know whether production has ceased when the Q1 production output figures are out.
In fairness Schlepper we witnessed this 4 weeks ago without any news. Anything is possible with TALV.
Close to 16m vol traded today on Nasdeq OMX http://www.nasdaqomxnordic.com/aktier/microsite?Instrument=HEX66042&name=Talvivaaran%20Kaivososakeyhtiö
To be honest, I was expecting an RNS last Friday confirming that they had complied. Not sure when or if an RNS confirming the position will be posted but was certainly expecting one.
I'm pretty confident that will be the case. A nice but steady build up in the SP leading to Q1 results would be great. Let's hope we finish the day up +5% at least.
I believe the 28th May from memory.
Nice to see the rise particularly when one observes the buy to sell ratio today. Lots of UK PI's spooked by the possible de-listing from LSE but to be honest can't understand why you would want to sell when we are waiting on possibly three key updates this month: 1) pond water level to be below the .5 million cubic cm by 14/05/14 2) Qtr 1 production output results 3) Possible news of restructure / funding Perhaps today's rise is the start of another epic TALV rally that we've seen of late,
