The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Are you sure you don't mean another Bee Gee's song 'New York Mining Disaster 1941' ?
safetyman,
I was unaware that GIT had health issues. I wish him a speedy recovery, but it doesn't change his losses on WRES.
As for having no interest in WRES, I can only speak for myself that I have MASSIVE interest in WRES as it has been an almost perfect case study in how not to run a company - I just have no financial interest in WRES.
On June 3rd 2019, GIT held 36,000,000 shares (360,000 in new money). I can use these figures without breaking privacy rules as he himself put them onto this public board. The share price was then 0.43p so his shares were worth just over £150,000.
Today, his 360,000 shares are worth around £15,000. He said on here on June 28th 2021 that 'It’s going to look a lot more rosy here by the end of the year' when the share price was 7.65p.
No wonder he doesn't post anymore.
P.S. When you actually needed to use another word, you missed it out ' I certainly would (NOT) go on a bb where I no longer am invested to criticise others who are, or denigrate them . How about you? I think your posts speak for your character . Try a mirror.' - I think that is what you wanted to say.
I only comments on posts, but you and Kev always like to have a go at my character so I will give you a break - I won't post again on here for the rest of January whatever is written or whatever happens to WRES in that time.
Lighten up - life is too short.
Safetyman,
You posted a proposition and asked for comments 'Why would anyone…' I answered giving my reasons and that in your words is criticism and denigration. If only one answer is acceptable to you, in future don't ask the question.
Please Sir, I can answer that question !
One person posts accurate facts and figures, corrects misleading posts from rose-tinted fan club members and is not losing any money on WRES. The other person posted endless missives about herrings and Sven, won't say in 10 words what he can say in 100, and despite having visited the site and knowing what colour socks the engineers were wearing, is losing a lot of money on WRES.
Now which is which ?
I was a LTH for many many years but I saw the writing on the wall around 2018 and sold out completely soon after. For that I was ridiculed by other LTHs who thought they knew better especially the ones who had gone to see LP.
Since then, the fan club have progressively filtered anyone who disagrees with their viewpoint and thus have ignored all the reasons why they should have sold. So, no, I am not making fun of them - I am calling out their contributory negligence and hubris.

(4Q 2021) 300 tons or less and i'll be WORRIED
Troajan,
In case you haven’t noticed, I don’t post about WRES - I post about posters and when they get something right, I will be the first to congratulate them.
Troajan,
You always tell this board when you buy but for some reason you don't tell when you sell so we have no figures on which to assess your claims. But as I have said before, you are a trader and the lows and highs of 2020 and 2021 have not helped any LTH who has kept their holding but not added to it.
What does 'balance bud' mean ? Is it a new American game where you hold a can or bottle or Budweiser and play twister ?

'I fully expect WRES to be 4-5p on LP alone, and I'm talking about the current JORC at LP. '
He got the numbers right - unfortunately he was talking pre-consolidation so only out by a factor of 100.
Getinthere 03 June 2021 10:54 'Things are, FINALLY, looking positive.' (Share price 7.8p – 8.0p)
Geng 26 July 2021 13:34 'the SP has broken out' (Share price 7.0p – 7.3p)
Troajan 8 November 2021 22:26 'If this isn’t the bottom,then I'm a monkeys uncle.lol.' (Share price 5.90p – 6.20p)
Troajan 12 November 2021 18:35 'the sp's bottomed out' (Share price 6.20p – 6.40p)
Troajan 5 December 2021 08:02 'might see the bottom next week' (Share price 5.10p – 5.30p)
An outsider might well wonder why it is the so-called trolls that get so much abuse.
Surely idle not idol although some people seem to worship Masterman.
GUG,
Troajan did qualify his statement - 'when the process gois into full production' - so it was acceptable apart from his spelling (gois) and the use of the word 'when' rather than the more likely 'if', but it is still the season of goodwill so I cut him some slack.
Troajan,
I would be delighted if you posted stuff such as your 15:13 comment which is clear and accurate. Unfortunately, you do not usually do that. You make statements quoting, for example, opex costs but you only qualifying it when someone else points out that it is incorrect.
Yes, Troajan, it's so good of you to inform people on here that, for example, WRES has one of the world's lowest production costs with opex $120/30 as you did on December 22nd..
The fact that it is demonstrably untrue and that opex has never been at that level doesn't seem that important to you however.
Happy Christmas.
At this time of year, you would have thought a bit of love and understanding would not go amiss, but not for Safetyman. He says that GUS is pleased by the fall in the SP. What GUG actually said was 'I'm happy just being proved right since last Xmas. 12p to 5p.' - pleased that he was proved right not pleased by the fall.
On this day of all days, goodwill to all.
Troajan,
So just for balance and completeness: WRES has NEVER to date had an opex of $1.20/30, and therefore quoting it without adding that full production is needed to achieve this as you did this morning is somewhat misleading and inaccurate (euphemism).
Clearly you are happy with Troajan's opex figure otherwise you would have made a comment.
I know that, GUG, I just want to make sure that everyone else knows it as well.
Troajan said at 11:09 today that WRES has 'one of the worlds, lowest production costs.....opex $120/30'.
Neither the half year nor the Q3 RNSs gave an opex figure. The last Shard report that mentioned OPEX (16/04/21) gave $199 opex for 2021 and with a considerably higher tonnage that will actually be achieved in 2021. The figure that you quote is a completely misleading and incorrect figure which I trust you will now correct.
