hi callum 28
i agree with ****nal 221 thanks for all the info finding all this research info must have taken some time and much appreciated.
the fact that all this research info is starting to become available must mean panmur gordon are doing their job or there is more larger professional investors becoming interested in syn . ever noticed how with some stocks there is often no interest and no news and then the share price starts going up that's i have always thought is professional investment firms taking positions after doing their due diligence talks with roland and other board members etc. lets see what happens.
Hi lionsworld
Your post at 14.10 is excellent and i totally agree.
One interesting thing I found out today is whilst it is not illegal to short a share it is to act in concert with others to damage a company by use of such as telegraph group twitter or bulletin post 's etc for shorting or for any purpose that damages a company . This can result in a criminal case prison or unlimited fines. There have been lots of complaints to the FCA mine included so they will have to investigate as these type of events can damage the reputation of the London Stock Exchange . After wait and see what happens
Hi Gordon
I think the share price is now likely to rise over the coming months is the reason. One thing I find interesting is that no discounted placing's going to be available to clients of brokers such as panmur gordon and republic which should help the share price. Although it will be at least another few weeks before any interested clients finish their check's ( probably including meetings with Roland)and invest.
Have all the shorters left - cannot see them staying with the company and the FCA watching this board like a hawk after all it would be too damaging for the London stock exchange for what has happened to happen on a regular basis.
The share price will need to be much higher at least near or above the 1.5 price target and at least a year from now in my opinion before a placing would be contemplated and even then will Rowland and the board take the risk of a repeat of this happening again when finance against future with a partner with the reputation of Selan is going to be so cheap and tax deductable.
Question in my mind conger were any or all of the shares you sold yesterday forward sold so do you now need to buy shares
to cover your forward selling and now want to get the price as low as possible. Its the only reason I can think of for your recent posts .
Correct me if I am wrong but I can remember a news article which I cannot find at the moment saying Indian company now building state of the art rigs for the home market and seem to think either Selan or new partner Antelop were hoping to take delivery of some.
The deal is for 3Drills and 3 workovers. I think 20 million is a really good price given that at one point it was 20 million for two wells and if applied to the entire full field development we are looking at a real low cost development which will reflect in the fields profit. Also did Roland on one occasion say that GOI permission would be regards as a formality and they would proceed with preparations to save time the director of hydrocarbons certainly wants quick results.
I think we will get a RNS regarding the JV before Thursday . Otherwise it could be very embarrassing . I also think the director of hydrocarbons who wants this JV to happen quickly will have been working hard to ensure a speedy passage through government as they want the gas as quickly as possible.
Hi Gordon
Definition of contingent resource is a resource that is potentially recoverable . With all the work Roland and team have done on proof of concept a large part if not of contingent resource will now be looked at by a new joint venture partner as potentially recoverable which is part of the attraction to a joint venture partner. Travelling at the moment thus unable to reply further.
A poster last month on the AEX board did some historical research on price reaction to companies with similar contingent resources as they were monetized and a price target of 1.5p is justified .
Panmur Gordon clients will over the coming days/weeks start to look at taking a stake as the path to market will be have been established with the joint venture - this in turn should start to drive the SP upwards thus SYN starts to become the type of business that such as Panmur Gordon clients like
Hi Gordon I think you will find that budget's and future cash requirements were all well know before the meeting was originally announced on the 15th. I remember Rowland saying some time ago that they were looking to grow the business and they are not going sit about doing nothing now they are giving up the Cambay operatorship.
This has arisen since the meeting was originally announced on the 15th. We know that Rowland and the team will have spare capacity as they are giving up the operatorship of cambay and they are looking at other projects to grow the business. I think this may be a means to be able to move quickly if required to take advantage of a developing situation Otherwise why did they not announce it when they rns's it originally.
This could be another company who lost out on the JV accumulating with the idea of getting some sort of leverage or making a bid for syn. But I think more likely professional investors some possibly Panmur Gordon clients taking positions for the medium term buying capital raise shares from the clients of Novum Securities
Reading the post's today - it seem someone wanted a price prediction removed only reason I can think of is that one person or a group of people have it in mind to try some sort of short term pump and dump to make a quick profit and a well know price target such as 1.5p would make it difficult to execute
With almost 10000 views of the tweet on X it will be interesting to see what the next few days brings with regard to our share price. Any body seen so many views of a small cap share tweet before and its effect on the share price I have not and I would be very interested to know any information on any other share where this has happened
Pure guess I think it could be Vedanta ( previously Carin India) they were dropping a lot of hints from memory about a year ago that they were looking at a major joint venture. If it is them will they be able to resist dropping some hints I wonder.
Also from memory the director of hydrocarbons India has said that he wants this to go ahead quickly hence the speed this is proceeding at which is very unusual .
Two interesting posts on the Aminex (ticker AEX) board which posters may find interesting (1) Edgar 222 11th Jan 21.27pm he has done some more detailed research on chariot oil and gas (ticker char) it went from 1.62p to 24p 14.7 fold rise over approx 18 month period is main conclusion been that when news arrives the increase is not always immediate. I put this down to such as Panmure gordons clients having to go through internal checks of one sort and another worth remembering that they are usually medium term investors rather than short term.(2) Wonderer 19th jan 10.26 Corcel (Ticker crcl) not the same as syn but they do have a few similarities they went from .24p september last year to 1.24p 16th jan this year a approx 5 fold rise and may yet go further . Hopefully SYN will do something similar and hit or serpass 1.5p
Hi winalot
We are main market with advantages such as no debt , cash reserves to see us through until gas revenue starts to come in, no fundraise necessary to pay for drill or infrastructure development as we have a35 million free carry . We have two distinct markets for our shares retail investors and professional investors such various types of funds. Retail is usually a one off appearance on a paid for investment channel usually by the ceo and then twitter posts that feed through to sites for retail investors. Professional investors are usually covered by broker and research notes who have staff constantly searching for investments thus these notes are well read. I also think this eventually feeds through to retail investor sites as well. Hopefully all of this will as the catalysts arrive create share price momentum
