I'm from Liverpool and I can categorically say that there is no logical link for the Indian variant to be in Formby. Its a tiny town between Liverpool and Southport, set off a dual carriage way with no surrounding towns either side for several miles. A place were I imagine the average age group would be retired, upper class and white. Hoards of people don't have a reason to be there, national trust park or not.

I would not be surprised if we didn't progress on Activ-2 - no issues there in the long term - It would be nice but if our drug doesn't significantly help these people then we aren't going to get money wasted on it.
It it vital to use the best variety of medicine for a variety of people in a variety of stages of an illness. Imagine administering penicillin to someone in the ICU with sepsis. Imagine putting someone on a drip with conjunctivitis.
Our goal it to put out fires and for that we need fires. Hospitalised patients is the clear goal now which works well for me.
To put it in simple terms... If we had our drug before COVID reared it's head then we wouldn't be in the situation we are now - Globally.

Thanks Prion. I too think this will be reflected in other treatments. To put it in simple terms, imagine trying to judge the effectiveness of a car's brakes moving at 1mph. The best you can hope for is that the car stops.

The results weren’t groundbreaking by any means but I think most people have massively missed the point here. SNG001 prevented anyone from getting worse! What was everyone expecting? Playing 90 minutes of football after half an hour of first dosing? The hospital phase compliments this massively and vice versa. I’m alot happier after seeing the slides but I imagine it may have been presented poorly as SNG may have expected more but not sure what more they could have asked for?!

Toxicity mentioned and is an issue with interferon. However, Interferon Beta is tolerated a lot better than others. Also I think inhaled is tolerated better than any other way of administering the drug such as IV. We've proven this in trials so far and I have just found another one which backs this up.

With all this in mind, we may be on to something bigger than we could ever imagine. If our formula/delivery allows for Interferons to be taken and tolerated well, then we have the antibiotics of virus' and this could be a block buster.
