My main point is that Nasdaq is not always the answer people are looking for as the normal reason given its costs are to have access to additional capital.

SCLP have done pretty well to get support from US investors so yes it is possible that if LD goes for the £30-60m it could make sense to go for it and as you say it may tie in with part of RM exit plan given CLN conversion could be at about same time.

Anyway look forward to more positive SCIB 1 results as that seems to be key driver in the next few months

As Violindig says you can consolidate on both sides of pond but much more likely imo you just consolidate on US side by issuing ADRs so basically consolidated shares to get the price up.

Personally I don’t see a US listing on horizon but no one can be sure and you will see plenty of evidence of preparation in advance but it is not always the panacea that some predict even though theoretically you should get an element of arbitrage

Agree with C11 re Covidity.Whilst it would be great to get concrete news on funding if you look at the actual evidence such as LD AGM comments on the subject and the clear statement of SCLP that progress was paused until a point where a commercial partner may pursue an interest.

This situation as far as I am aware has not been updated for well over 12 months with no hint of any discussions taking place.

So whilst Covid rears its head I understand the interest but prefer to focus on the other upcoming trial results and the possibility of a Glycan deal and just accept the benefits that Covidity brought rather than continual speculation about potential development.

Pat not sure if you aware of the original history of CVS and V4P a very long time ago but the backers came from the optical industry and basically repeated the experience in Veterinary.

Yes there are economic pressures of clients to give up pets but the Vet industry is expanding still at a very nice CAGR and CVS along with others are still buying Practices so do not seem unduly worried about the CMA investigation.

Agree there may be evidence of some of these Covid Vax causing serious side effects which likes of the good Dr wants to highlight however as Ray suggests there is a huge conspiracy following who seem to want to attack all Covid Vax and who do not provide hard evidence in a balanced way.

These supporters may have a point but they can also cause measurable harm.

I can never forget the damage caused by similar thoughts which led to deaths and serious illness amongst children when Andrew Wakefield was peddling his NMR myths when I was at Merck and they never seem to mention the countless lives saved by the Covid Vax which all went through the regulatory process including phase 4 where adverse reactions are recorded.

My main point though was that he directly attacked SCLP approach by basically saying DNA plasmid led to development of cancer so if you follow his logic you would be endorsing a Cancer Vax that actively made the cancer worse rather than trying g to cure it.

Yes interesting reading and does seem a bit of a rant vs mRNA Vax.

However sure you noticed the reference to plasmid DNA encouraging development of cancer so that is totally opposed to SCLP approach so article is much wider in emphasis than some may realise

The industry remains very buoyant and likely to continue to be very recession proof despite the obvious challenges due to tough economic background.

CVS are very well placed and even though they often have concentrated sites around certain city locations that us for historical reasons and buying of large chains of Practices.

The fact they are still looking to buy in U.K. is a very good sign and even the last CMA enquiry into CVS was brought about by them buying The Vet ( who were very spread out ) so an acquisition so they are unlikely to go down that route again.

Plus the setting up of Southport is indicative of a new way of opening and I understand more new sites are planned.

I can think of many of the other corporate groups who would be worried about divesting based on geographical concentration

I echo ABs point about your “ honest admission” but equally think you have grasped the situation as you imo do not need to fully understand the intricacies of how the Science works.

Having spent many years promoting DNA Vax there have been very few occasions where the person you have talked to has even asked in detail about exactly how the platform works with the odd exception usually a Professor out of academic interest.

The salient points to me you have taken on board and SCLP have made it pretty clear.

The SCOV programme has been put on ice and will only be developed further if a partner comes on board. There have been no signs of this for the last 12 months so I would not rate this prospect very highly.

The main benefit of running the SA trial was the validation of the Pharmajet technology and the addition of Avidmab technology all paid for largely by an Innovate grant and at a time when the world needed an answer to Covid which United the Scientific community and when few formal trials could be conducted.

SCLP are now seeing the real benefits of this work with the extremely significant RNS of a few days ago when many and certainly myself had placed less importance on IB as compared to Moditope.
