Yes they have to restructure debt, but they'd be easily covering the repayments if the Italian & Greek governments were actually paying them what they owe. I am sure that over time Helesi will be fine, once the governments have cash & are able to pay Helesi. From memory there's around 55m of net equity in the company, so a great valuation here IMHO

There have been lots of dubious actions by management so the SP always struggles - most recently they diluted the stock (again) and sold some to corporate investors to raise finance for a supposed new project, even though according to their accounts they have plenty of cash. Also they have stopped paying dividends of 0.5p despite wads of cash in the bank (apparently). Finally Raymond Chu the CEO & a major shareholder just sold almost half his stake @ 40p...all very strange & indicative of a future major profit warning. I have congratulated myself thoroughly on buying these shares - my only question is why people are continuing to sell when the fundamentals are so good and the value is obvious. Do people know something I don't? On a related topic - I have also been buying Helesi - profitable, fantastic product(garbage disposal - everyone needs it) which is at a tiny fraction of tangible asset value, and steady profits. Fantastic bargain & I just assume it's not on institutional investors' radar

Lovely rises - glad I got in yesterday at 8.50! Here's another cheap stock if you're interested: Helesi, at around £5m market cap, total NAV around £50m, no recent year of loss, totally forgotten by the market...

Looks like a good, well run company with lots of interesting products. Anything I should be aware of? I was aiming for a fairly modest 200-220p entry point on the 'A' shares if I can get it - any views on that?

Into HVE yesterday & liked it. I first looked at HVE as a recovery play a year ago when the price was 40p+. The current SP is great for a company that usually makes 8p or more earnings per share. Let's hope the new director helps push the company firmly into recovery, and I'm sure demand for shop fittings etc. will pick up quickly as the economy recovers.

For a company that's worth 10x that on Net Asset Value alone (not including intangibles) I'd say the current price is incredible. Future looks ok despite the recent glitch in earnings, and there is huge growth potential. The only investor worry right now is (as far as I can tell) the high level of current debt, but this company is no way worth as little as it's currently trading for. Very strong buy

In an environment where all signals are that demand is improving and costs are falling, I am disappointed that PVCS has made less money than last year (itself not a great year), and profits have fallen disproportionately; and also that PVCS has cut its interim dividend in half (which to me, shows that the management do not have a huge amount of faith in their company). All in all I think this is a pretty terrible update.

Is next week if I remember correctly. I expect PVCS will give a good update and the people that really move price - fund managers and the like - will start to take more notice. I believe the price will be at 300p+ within a few years: a huge growth market, increasing profit margins, government subsidies, entry of US and China to the market and the fact that PVCS is one of the best solar panel producers in the world, with the best global customers in the world, and good fixed price contracts with those customers, will all help. I can't wait for the next dividend either; should be good. GLA

I've been doing that too - and waiting for a bargain price, as I think 60p will soon become the new support level. However I didn't want to miss the boat entirely so decided to just increase my holding today, it is after all, still a very attractive price in a great company

I am buying a few more on Thursday - £1.50 fee per trade day on iii :-) Once PVCS is re-rated into the FTSE-250, and I think it will be at the next rating, I think it will fly to £1.50 or more, and I'll be happy to hold for the next 20 years based on current market growth forecasts and the fact that this is (in my opinion) one of the best run companies I have ever looked into. Don't worry about it - as I think we are all aware the company is in fantastic hands and will do very very well in the next few years. They just quietly and efficiently invest and run the company, and they know what they're doing, which is great. I am so impressed by how little they hype things up, and just get things done. I would expect their profit to continue to increase in proportion to the market growth and their investments, and I also expect the management will make an announcement about any new investments at the same time as posting the August update.
