Long time no see...14 Jan 2026 09:07
I'm back, albeit never really left in terms of investing and keeping interest. Thought id add my 2 pence and see what others think, especially now there seems to be a light on with someone at home.
For all those newly invested, you've likely landed at the right time, so well done. I'm just surprised its taken this long to finally get the ball rolling. We all knew Cykel as a standalone business needed time to mature, and couldn't do so without multiple raises and further dilution. Very much like any start up in its infancy. However, having Defi Development take the reigns being the only purely Solana focused listing on the LSE helps a million. They're proved successors in the states, listed on the NASDAQ listed at 7.80 usd, McCap of 233m. Unlike the media team from Cykel (other than James Shannon) on linkedin - who posts regular content on Eve/Lucy, etc, DeFi are proactive with member engagement and investor relations, very transparent and professional. Id check them out if not already done so.
As for the business now, I see us as now a dual voltage business, Cykel will inevitably bring in revenue at some point, my thoughts are they'll take payment in Solana as a way of bolstering the core business itself. Very interesting if so. And DeFi can do what they do best, Accrue SOL using there adoption strategy and and cream of staking rewards, (which are paid in sol) thus increasing the value of Sol per share. A snowball effect if you will.
Market Cap here is just under 4m , peanuts really. Id suspect Cykel alone to be worth that alone. The next and first RNS here will likely be an operation strategy, detailing the important bits, and then a large SOL purchase. I can't see it being any longer than a few weeks at most. This will gain exposure to the market, and gain interest from the Crypto gang, amongst potential larger investors. As for transparency on my side FWIW, I sold out fully last year, end of for a loss, lesson learnt to take profits here as I have opportunity to do so but were greedy. I've re-entered in around 30p and 50p, slicing a profit on the way up, and buying back in. Fresh slate, fingers crossed we'll get up to £2/3+ in short order. Id imagine that'll be quicker than expected as if to buy large quantities, we'll need a healthy SP...
All imo, will await any counter arguments as I know a few who like to share ;-)
Gl all.
