BL00DY sp is dire ........ wassup !!
Is Li tech being challenged. I am wondering if the battery industry is just sooooo fragmented and confused by the multiple shouts of eureka that ........... well I dunno.
Some of the new techs I have read about do solve (apparently) solve the problems of range and speed of charging but they seem to be all round basic lithium domain. ????
In particular the solid Si solid state electrolyte and the Graphene balls. Stop s********* at the back ........ honestly grow up.
I thought maybe we just have to wait for FunkyGibbon's and BIKWIK's graphs to get alignment.
Oh I followed a tip given by Funky on Frontera ........ on the dot I might say and I am 20% up already.
There is a good chum to have.
Trying to e-mail you Funky but the address stared out ?? !!
Why the jerk up with the RNS .......... Unless the consultant is delivering a customer and wants paying before he rings the door bell.
We need a young third generation miner, who rebels against family tradition, wants to make his mark, and rub his dad's nose in it. They tell him acid is how we have always done it, but he knows ammonia is the future. When he succeeds, with the help of AXM, the book comes out, followed by the film: Preaching Leach.

Ref my previous posts ......... High hopes for Multicom but battery space is getting complicated with tech racking up.
( rack ? think pain from disruptive tech landing which might not be ours (Vanadium) but I think it will be so I am here )
Thx again trills for Multicom clip ...... the most meaningful part is the comment that price of V needs to be low .......... hence our place at the table and the concept of an integrated producer of battery.
Jeeeez ICL you are wasted ...... Quel imagination !! Mon Cheri
Actually we have a 6% ish interest in it (all exclusive MOD expo licences) thru our holding of MOD shares and this likely to go to 12%.ish Max. (Other than financing actions)
Just finished his short rather strangled Penguin on '' The Wall street Crash '''
Leaves me feeling less jaundiced about shorters in that they may well represent a safety valve on the irrational exuberance. However ? No words of comfort where the stupid bankers and Feds are concerned.
Seemed to suggest '' Great Depression '' wasn't a result of the '' Wall Street Crash '' ?????
Didn't get that !!
Some good reflections here on the sp action wrt shorters and characteristics of high tech specialist stock prices as seen in cyclic behaviour.
I have been here for years and readily confess to very limited understanding of the electronics industry. However I think I can say T Rowe have featured here since I have been trying to get a handle on what IQE's fortunes might be.
Through their buying and shorting thru the years there is one thing I am certain of and that is their holding in IQE has increased and I believe their proportionate holding has also increased steadily thru the years.
As frustrating as their shorting is there seems to be reason to think their underlying confidence in the future of IQE as high tech stock is undiminished.
Agree !!
Carbon in Leach process brought a lot of low grade gold ores into pay.
ie Technical advances !!
Very thick skinned too !!
I came here for the Panorama ........
Got lucky and got some of the Haveiron and Black Hills.
Now I thought I was a wide boy but ...........
I concede you take the biscuit.
All my ''special'' shares have wide boys Some wider than others. I have them as MM plants in my tiny mind to keep focus on the BBs.
Again you are the widest of all ........ Again biscuit taker
Good posting anyways Dude ....... I appreciate a facility with words and ideas.
Hells bells Maneer ......... you are soooooo boreing

Its not just about grade M8.
Tonnage is very important as that can help spread the capital cost over the final quantity of Cu extracted.
ie how does the grade carry the tonnage !?
But the killer is disposition or the character of the ore body. Ie the depth (very important) and the shape and the Geological type as well as the disposition of the mineral assemblage to extraction in the milling concentration and smelting as dealing with spoilers can be very expensive.
Grade which is interesting has been declining. Many suggest this is because we just don't have high grade ores any more. (check out Sirius ? )
But that's not the whole story. Technology and Engineering has done a lot to enable lower grade ore to be Mined profitably. Hence if you find 4% Cu with your first hole you can go on drilling the whole area to define the higher and lower grade areas. Then you can calc an ore reserve based on a cut off grade which is an estimate for now and the future as to what will be uneconomic to mine. That is moveable as the future unwinds and prices of product change and Tech and Engineering continue to contribute and indeed expo continues.
The other side of the coin happens ie expo finds a very very low grade (0.15%) but some Aim jockey CEO wants to keep his salary going so he puts out that the Geology is great (OK) so they must keep drilling (cash call etc you know it !!) It maybe they eventually find some decent grade 20 years later. Do you wanna be in that ??
So the average grade of what everyone is currently mining is a good filter and distillation of all that ........ which I am prepared to believe is currently very slightly below 1.0% with the caveat that deep deposits require very expensive mining be it removal of several hundred metres of overburden or some shaft sinking Ugh !! Followed by very expensive operating costs as lorries take 20 minutes to get to blasted benches or your men and materials have to travel 1 1/2 hours every day to get in and out of workings and you have to pay to run and maintain your shaft
Most mines will have some marginal or even uneconomic stuff developed just in case conditions change. Access to this can be a dampener to price swings in commodities. ie when everyone says hey the price of Zn must rocket. The Manager of a Zinc mine will open up lower grade zones or reprocessing discarded surface material to benefit from the higher prices thus bringing unexpected supply to the market and holding prices down. In the case of Zn it took more than 2 years for the capacity shortage to show in Zn price.
DYOR and AIMHO
BHP tried to pinch LC know how !!
Standard play for talentless Middle Managers trying to see an inside track. Steal someone else's ideas and then present as your own to win glory and fame ........ and promotion an fat salary and power over all those you hate.
Just trying to be entertaining ......... I am sure no Managers at BHP would ever do that really
DYOR and AIMHO
One of these lurches down will be the shorters swan song. It is likely to be the biggest and longest which makes everyone thing we are all doomed.
Then some bright sparks who arnt too closely involved will do what Wellington did when he saw a gap open in the lines of the Napoleonic Old Guard as he munched on a chicken leg.
Declare '''' That will do !! ''' and throw his chicken leg away and order his cavalry to attack and finish their Victory.
Yeah !!
But seriously if IQE is as solid as we all seem to believe that is the resolution. I have actually been buying for the first time since I think 4p.
Yeah !!
I should be able to buy my own house in a couple of years
Funky ....... Can I come and live with you ........ in your garage ??
FUNKY
Sorry mate ....... forgot my medication. Bloody spot on. That's what I call useful charting for stop picking.
Respect !!
WOW !!
spamming the board with carp and deleting posts then - same ole , same ole but it is their site after all :)
I agree bonkers ......... outrageous !! Who do they think they are having a say. !! After all it is your board.
Ditto ......... wasting our time there .......and money and options (bummer)
