So we all agree then. I didn't think I was being contentious ....... just summing up ...... I thought.
Our sp is depressed because together and on top of creepy PGM prices the following has pressurized the sp. down
1) Realization that Tjate is an irrelevance to the balance sheet or the P & L account Even a year ago it was being suggested there could be a buyer in part.
2) Building and commissioning of Hernic (now ending)
3) Uncertainties wrt the Hernic mine as Mitsubishi surrenders to the inevitable. (they aint miners)
4) Unsolved probs at DCM ....... The decision to build our own Pt extraction plant brought risks to the Chrome circuit as well as the financial and organizational risks associate with a build .
5) The engagement with BMR. We have taken on risks here which don't have dimensions or historical context......... they play out into the future and seem unquantifiable for now.
sniffyduster
Wont close at 3.05 but hopefully we will hold onto 3p
"standard" stratified sediment-hosted mineralisation here so perhaps it's more swirly in nature and denser at size - we can always hope.
Standard No !
Swirly No !
Denser at size ? LOL !! anyones guess what that means or more likely doesn't mean.
There is so much silly with that post Bonkers. I am beginning to think you are a reincarnation of David Essex and work out of the MMs Office. Keen to try to get kudos with pontification on trading patterns and '' Big Money '' and
'' You happen to know ''. stuff. Calm down Dude
Your tech grasp of the Geology and Mining implications is clearly so weak or non existent that I doubt you are aware of what our CEO is trying to convey when he puts out comms.. Stay with your charting. I havnt visited your site so no harm can be done there .
The implications of stockwork morphology.?? The core samples photos didn't look that good to me but then they were poor quality. Only rumour of hand held analysers had my attention but the grade needs to be considered over the whole core 67m ? and you sensibly cant do that with a hand held. The grade apparently improves with depth ?
The existence of stockwork will intrigue the geologists but the read across T3 to A4 on the AEM needs considering. There was no stockwork in T3. Also A4 has a much smaller footprint to T3
Our CEO made it quite clear that finding 0.6% Cu at 200m isn't what we want. On a vast regional scale that is even a stretch of any conceivable economics.
So what next ?? The samples will be very carefully analysed with thin sections taken (many) for microscopic analysis of the Petrology (Look for hiring of a Petrology specialist, I doubt we have enough capacity on the payroll now) They will be very keen to establish the mineral suite carried by A4 stockwork. Is that a Zn read across to T20 and T23). So don't expect results on assay work for 2 to 3 weeks IMHO
My guess is A4 will not go to final cut. To small and to low grade and to deep (U/G mining and not suitable for cheap open cast) But lets hope my guess is wrong AIMHO
But I suspect and hope it will prove to be a satellite to a much much bigger system of stockwork emplacement. (T20 and T23 maybe) We will eventually find it IMHO
I recall the rather casual mention of a pipe emplacement a couple of months ago .......... I wonder if we will be hearing more of this. No No No I am not talking Diamonds obviously .......... stockwork morphology is the point.
So I am thinking one major giant mineral emplacement of stockwork character surrounded by numerous satellite off spring with variable manifestations. This Primary emplacement maybe no more. (CEO states it '' might '' mean the Cu is still there) That is to say it has been eroded away and maybe only roots and deep level satellite emplacements remain.
Still lots to find out ....... Don't rush your fences !! Bet the Big Mining Houses wont.
Good post !!
But doesn't that make a point ie we are to thinly spread and so dependant on too many cash calls before we can work one prospect up to market.
I really like the idea of monitizing something asap. Firetower looks interesting but I sense a possible very quick win at Blackhills ........... Not grade yet but certainly on possible ease of mining... It will be an easy job to confirm grade ....... its so accessible.
Titter smugly behind back of my hands. ........ fertilizer indeed !!
OK with the new production coming in and Northam are an excellent partner of whom I heartily approve ....... in fact I think they are out of our league. I don't think they are Goldfields anymore but someone correct me if I am wrong.
But ........ think for a while how long it has taken for the market to recognize the Hernic achievement. Well they havnt yet but maybe they find it difficult to come to a decision as judgement is clouded with ............. you say !! ??
Not to mention the soggy PMG price.
So I have added a few months..
It's the Pell cheek dot u kno
If your intention is to doubt or diminish the perceive risk of our BMR involvement then it appears to me there will be a credibility gap on reading your posts. Btw my reference to Take goes back quite a bit further. I did make something positive on it due to the working up of an ore reserve. Isn't that an unlikely memory now But don't be down hearted ....... My over riding point is that all the negative pressures on the sp can be addressed by Management and i suggest by March 2019 it will look different. My opinion on LC is well posted ..... He is a Rock Star ......... But our Ni dispute in Auzzie is history ....... Surely we all know that !!!
For me the take away is a lesson I learnt long ago. Big International Co don't give business to small Co unless there is a Personal connection between bod members. ie old school chums, old Uni chums, in the army together or have been in the same lodge together at some time etc..... So I don't think we have a hope of doing a deal with BHP. I guess there is an outside chance we might go to law and get some money for our efforts but it is likely BHP's commitment was all in CB's head and not on paper. Big Cos will talk to small Co thinking their Managers might pick up some useful tips. I have some real stinkers having thought ........... !!!!!! ??????
You are right of course. On a big drill programming you might have more than one drill on the go. The expo programming over the target area ( several to many km2 ! ) will have identified the expected drill sites. In the light of info gathered from the cores of the first hole(s) the sites of the later holes can be adjusted and tweeked depending on topography. Just always keeping metres for drilling in front of the drillers or expect to pay penalties
Cheers BIKWIK I think Clegg was sincere when he mentioned 2weeks to signing the deal However it can be difficult to be sure when all interested parties and advisers can get together ....... I remember trying to buy my first house. Lawyers can be a nightmare and I am only talking small town types here. Nice thing is our news that Southern's SP has twitch so is that signals from both sides ???
Para 1. Include some geochemistry
An ore body target is evaluated using surface mapping. Plug in info gained from other methods including maybe trenching, taking rock chip samples from surface out crops together with physical measurements, using any number of geophysical techniques and even some wildcat (maybe shallow ) drilling Then an appropriate drill campaign is decided on with an affordable budget attached. Contracts out to tender and awarded. Usually pay is on metres drilled with possibly terms for rig moves and down time which is not attributable to the contractor. The commissioning mine or expo co will be required to keep metres in front of the drillers all the time and there is likely to be some condition applying to a rig move (If it's moving it ain't drilling so no money coming in possibly. If it's a 30 hole campaign they may only identify the first hole and the the second before rods are pulled. Initially site selection is on initial field work ....... But driller must keep drilling When rods are pulled core is placed in sample trays and make available to geologists for exam. They will obviously note presence of the expected ore body and form an opinion on grade from the minerals present and the length of the section which has economic content as well as it's quality and length of core occupied. Also importantly the geologist will note the state graphic sequence in the core with the depths and thicknesses and lithologies encountered. The presence of marker lithologies is important as they construct a model of the deposit and develop a hypothesis that can be used for predicting the disposition of the ore Clearly this info can be used to hone and make adjustments to the positioning of future holes ......... Decisions need to be taken fast enough to stay ahead of the drillers. On occasions down hole physics can be used but it isn't as useful as in the oil industry where it is often the point of the hole initially.
Think of all the options the carpet baggers have ...,.. orible
I think too much is being made of the low ball opportunist approach we '' may '' soon be exposed to. We (me) don't want another Ricky Rule type raid on our register as imho this will lack gearing and result in too much dilution against insufficient space progress. I am happy to let our current drill activity proceed with the hope we get some '' pay attention '' grades and core lengths '' coming out of the T3 A Domes and then the T4, T20, and was it T23........... With that lot cooking nicely we don't want another RR getting in stupid cheep and diluting our value. Nope get the drill programming in ..... Find the fat grade and make em pay for some of my mine. I am here for minimum 10x....... That's start the bidding at 20p if you (sensibly) aven't been reading my posts
Treble by the next decade ...... Please elaborate as the '' on the face of it meaning ''. Suggests we are in for 10 years of disappointment ?????
Thx Red ......... Cheered me up a little there !!
Deep South and Sivas are IMHO our constituency. They need to buy in Technicals and we will probably defer to production to some degree ....... in mean time £ 7.5 k will be welcome
Since you mention it yes I think Cupric will get their nose in first. Once they are out the way it ''might'' be our turn !!
But all that takes time.
Not long now
Good Luck
