Bit more than I would give. True the grade of mined or is in decline and has been for years. But they are still coming up with some stunning grades from time to time. The mined grade is very much influenced by the price of Cu so as the Cu price advances and Mining tech gets better then lower grade stuff becomes economic.
Grades of 7% still being found in Affrika and who knows what Rio have in Aus.

Demand is in a sweet spot Yeah !! China India and the Developed world going electric AND the arrival of EV and all that means. But we have super conductors on the horizon. Transmission waste could be cut by a factor of 10 upgrading the rate of electrical transmission by some measure wiping out huge demand for Cu (Graphene Cu cables and wiring.)

I don't believe it is down to some small time holder or probate activity........ We are being effected by the needs of the global major Ni players. Its any ones guess how long they will take to adjust their positions but IMHO it is unlikely we will get any news on our FESO until the new dispensations are settled. (no sense in giving a jaundiced market good news they cant appreciate)

And here's the thing as they say in Hollywood ........ Probably only in the last six months there is a focus developing towards the energy storage market as efforts to keep wind farms and solar farms producing during periods of low usage but strong wind and sun light. Most Energy suppliers have adjusted their capital spending plans to acknowledge an end to peak power. This will likely halve (or more) the electricity industries capital investment required to boil the kettles at half time during the finals of a future world cup compared to today.

I drive past a wind turbine farm and on a hot summers week day they have them standing idle and often idle during the night time. No where to put the power .... they cant store it. !!!! These days some Li battery banks are being used for storage but the best solution will be Vanadium storage units. They are becoming quite common on game parks in remote Affrika !! Once this solution is geared to circumstances Vanadium will see excellent prices and with steel plants coming back on line (your ref) we might not see such a dip in V price ....... maybe. Certainly over a 2 year period I am very confident about V prices and is top of my watch list. It will leave Li to the motor cars or should I say to the modern Tesla Milk Floats.

So my ''plan'' for the future of Mankind (includes Womenkind) is Li for Vehicles and putas and power tools; ....... Vanadium for Mega power storage reducing power suppliers capex by 75% (not my figure) and graphene capacitors for rapid charging attached to both. There is a technical divide which might not be surmountable between the battery and capacitor thought the benefits of both are desireable..

All this enhanced by super conductors everywhere reducing power transmission waste too 2% ish from present 20% ish. That's graphene enhanced Cu cables !! don't you know !!

My only explaination with your querry in mind is that this is fall out from the manoeuvres wrt to the Indonesian Ni mining industry. ie when the Govt withdrew export licences and the Ni Mines suspended production I must guess many investors chose other Ni facing stock to hold for their commitment to Ni.

Now the exporters can re-establish their trade many may want to return to familiar markets loyalties and trading set up previously abandoned.

Such investors wont be too minded about PFS studies which lets face it still puts us a long ways off production and still with huge hurdles to jump on Financing.

Aside from the obvious points made about our highly influential shareholders and BOD and their unlikely inclinations to let this go at less than fair value; ......... there is the simple fact that the property is simply to vast for any but the global giants to contemplate and we are way way off having sufficient data for them to cast anything other than a curious glance our way.<br /><br />At this stage the only sellable scenario we have just now is a bite at T3 on its own or maybe MTR as a way of chomping our 35% chunk of MOD as a play to the future. ......IMHO. That in my opinion would be manageable for any ambitious mid tier miner and I guess is what is being referred to in the posts on T/O and take outs. ???<br /><br />I don't think our defences are actually that formidable and view the Kingsgate fiasco as evidence that our BOD will be weak in defence due to their poor experience base.
