It’s the fundamentals of the turnaround strategy.

The recent tanking of the sp will be reversed right quick if the other metrics are sound.

I think they may well improve profitability again on lower turnover.

When the economic conditions start to improve asos, starting from a sound base can ride the recovery wave.

Approximately, even if they get + 50% the can’t simply decide to offer say £5 quid a share job done and screw everyone else.

They have had 2 bad days, shorting isn’t a 1 way ticket to a profit

That’s because for years the asos price has been south and Nasdaq north.

If MA was to bid it would have to be north of £10, he’s 12% away from the 30% threshold that could force him to bid and can buy shares at under £4 today.

Not sure why he’d want to do that.

If you’re looking for a bid watch the short positions disappear they’ll get the nod beforehand.

They’re are driving the price down with shares borrowed from the same people increasing their positions.

I get the feeling share holders are second class citizens as far as the ownership are concerned.

Indeed, he's hoovering up PI shares at bargain basement prices, when you see the size of the average transaction it's sad to realise how easily people are fleeced. It's single digit volume, the fast majority of trades are less than £500 quid.

The reason for the fall IMHO is ASOS is under a concerted attack.

Their turnaround strategy yielded some excellent results as recently reported, they are focusing on the bottom line rather than the head line numbers hence the drop in revenue was underpinned by an increase in profitability.

There's no doubt in my mind ASOS is in play as a take over target, worst case a huge turnaround opportunity.

I personally believe a lot of people are going to be surprised by the update next month, if the high street footfall took a hit a good amount of that would have gone on line. Holiday travel is booming, where are they buying their clothes from?

If ASOS delivers on the underlying fundamentals, the right amounts of stock, effective cost controls.

It's difficult to understand how other people read the MA stake building, vs the 2 other largest stake holders other than a monster buying opportunity is beyond me.

As a buyer of ASOS shares you could imagine MA wouldn’t appreciate the recent hammering over the last 2 weeks.

Perversely assuming he’s still adding to his stake he’s the main beneficiary.

He’d rather be buying at 3.50-3.75 than 4.25-4.75

If you were looking at a culprit it wouldn’t be the shorts I’d look at.

MA is probably p——-g himself adding to his holding, he’s been a buyer for weeks.

CCP have added recently all public record.

In a week or 2 the number of shares in private hands will have been reduced to what? 40% or less who knows.

The average share trade on here suggests lots of small private punters, panicking and losing their nerve.

These recent shorts weren’t intended to take major share holders out just the over stretched average joe and quite successfully by the look of it.

Because there’s no need for an update. The stock is down today a few % so what!!!

What makes you think an update is due every time there’s share price movement?

No one was on here a couple of weeks ago when the sp jumped asking for an update.

2 of the largest share holders are adding to their positions. 1 dramatically.

The last update from the business was positive with a return to profitability.

A turnaround strategy is in place its success will have to be judged on how effective it is.

On the downside side there is the spectre of lower sales volumes due to the poor weather.

All factual I believe.
