VG sitting on just over 5% shares. They have a lot of fingers in different pies, if a risk adverse outfit like VG is taking such an interest I'd say the future (however it looks, deal or no deal) looks bright. Learn to buy and hold not trade small price differences. Your future self will regret not holding 12-18 months (or for a takeover).

I like your lateral thinking Stumpy but legally its not allowed. SH can speak to the BOD of Wood and the large holders will be speaking to the BOD regularly but those large SH cant engage in conversations with Sidara (legally at least)

Yes the board can reject an offer without a vote but this would be declared.

Surprised no RNS this morning given what has discussed yesterday. No indication was made on what the Cash offer was during the meeting. I suspect any rise today will be on the back of the FT article which should provide some upside but nothing like a leaked offer. Patience needed.

No they are not meeting to vote.

No today's/tomorrow's RNS will not state the price offered. That was a verbal offer which won't appear in any RNS but will likely be leaked today if they discuss it

My opinion - I think the door are closed and no mention of what the cash offer was has been leaked, no one is willing to take a chance. I know Wood are having a BOD and Directors meeting today where ALL MUST ATTEND, maybe something will be leaked from that and we will see a jump late this afternoon but if there is no jump then I would guess that the verbal offer hasn't been leaked. Once it is or a firm offer is made then we will go to your suggested price points which I think are fairly accurate. good Luck, fingers in ears the rest of the day on this board.

sentiment is what counts and companies remain over/under valued for years. What is your calculation for fair value, p/e ratio? it changes all the time. This is make or break for Wood.

Havong worked with Sidara and x wood employees I can say neither are mugs. A sensible offer will be made given the risks and $ required to address the issues we all know about and those we don't know.

Sub 70p would be an insult and not entertained, Sidara know this.

+110 would wrap things up quickly but there lies the middle ground in my opinion. 90p there will be negotiations, t&c changes, guarantees removed, but somewhere around that price leaves value for both companies in my humble opinion.

I've been privy to a number of takeovers through my decades of work.

Have no doubt, Sidara know exactly what Wood is worth to them, they also know the ins and outs of what's occurred the last 6 months. All that will just be noise and they will 100% focus on what's happened since 14th Feb and simply try and answer the question - Whats the absolute lowest price the BOD will accept without upsetting shareholders?

If I was in that room, I'd say somewhere around the 90p mark. Any lower and Sidara risk loosing the deal, leaving a sizable opening for a counter offer. Its close enough to £1 for the BOD to justify the offer and not upset the shareholders. Any higher and I'd say they should be employing me again to get them a better deal.

I think anything around £1.10 - £1.40 is more realistic. I don't expect anything offers sub £1.
