RE: Delisting30 Jul 2025 08:01
I have a friend who works for Wood. Its business as usual, a number of his team were worried about the collapse in SP while it was listed but now that it's suspended there has been very little chat about a take over (on the shop floor). He says there has been lots of restructuring, some senior managers let go and some departments combined. Personally I've never been a fan of Ken but perhaps Im being too harsh and the faults were before his time, either way, things are changing. He says there is definitely a focus on core business and they are streamlining projects better than before so perhaps Sidara will pick up a newly well oiled machine, who knows but they are certainly keen having stuck along thus far.
Lots of changes regarding who they can hire out and at what premium. He mentioned that 2 years ago he was hiring out developers for £2k a day. Now he can't give them away for £400 a day because so much more can be done in-house. This is a growing concern for some parts of the business he said.
