Have these ****ing ****s done this just to get the options?
It's a criminal back hander, Giles Clark should have have gone last year when it became clear he was too busy collecting free shares rather than doing his fooling job. Add me to the list of no! 690k shares.
Relative to NAV. Between the estimated value of the CPO-5, Platanillo, OBA, Oxy carry, and cash, the net asset value of Amerisur roughly comes to the neighborhood of US$670 million. By paying US$315 million, GeoPark gains the control of assets that are worth US$670 million, with an implied discount of over 50%. In other words, the acquisition helps add approximately US$5.9 per share of additional intrinsic value to GeoPark stock.
Disgusting offer, don't let your shares go, we can still vote this down, which I will be doing with my 700k shares. Then Giles Clark should be the next to go, absolute scum, which let's be honest we all knew he was but to sell out share holders in this way with a sub 20p he should be struck off for life.
Can't ****ing believe it, I would have welcomed a cash and share offer to increase offer but to have this such low offer, now ONGC go into overdrive in CP05. How the fuch can they recommended this.
I really hope they get what they deserve.
Cash*
A bash share offer from them would be welcome to my 700k shares.
Fingers crossed for some good news.
Isn't it in the Bods interest to not recommend any offer yet until their grubby options are up till December?
Seems like another day without an rns, just finished night-shift was hoping for something this morning.
The lack of CP05 update really grinds my gears, ONGC do not deserve to be in the oil business.
Baysil,
I genuinely don't know if they are doing it intentionally or if they are just that slow, the whole tender process is a nightmare.
If we were forward thinking we could propose a JV take over of ONGCs 70% with another partner, taking on debt to cover the purchase price, but they don't want to, all other operations look at least on paper to have grinded to halt, it's the same old amerisur story of announcing X drills and get (X/2)-2 drills by the end of the year at best.
Still holding, hopeful for an RNS with something on the table, or at least some drill news. BoD if your reading this, the best way to maximise price is to continue developing, don't grind to a halt!
The best, or even good businesses don't grind to a halt because if negotiations. I'm still in here obviously, would like to move some elsewhere but I'll wait to see what happens, been here 4 years what's another 6 months.
Seems like operations have grinded to a halt.
A bid could land any day....or not at all.
Being out of this in expectation of receiving anything until middle to end of oct is short sighted.
The upside vs risk is certainly in favor of the holders.
I'm in, as I have been for 3-4 years, we know the value that could be generated from these blocks and the restrictions stopping this value being released.
Watch this space, HOLD.
Yeh, didn't want to sell 30k but needed to free up a little for something.
Think it's going to be carved up, too many players with alot to gain from different areas maximising value.
Personally i'll be happy with anything north of 30p+ but think 33-35 is fair value given the possibilities to the right company.
The GTE share/cash would interest me as would't have to sell out, still gives scope for a more aggressive expansion plan with good upside potential without a tax burden as only half of my shares are in an ISA.
Think we will get an offer before Indico 2.
Glad i'm still in, although I did sell 30k shares, still holding 675k @ 16.5 avg.
6800 a day, another $6 a barrel...all adds up, another £1 million revenue a month.
Should about cover the ever increasing "expenses".
Anyone got an educated guess on the next spud news? Surprised not to have heard anything yet.
I've been here for 3-4 years since the early days of the OBA conception, and shall we say "delivery".
It's been a tough time for longer term holders, the guys that got in at 12p have done exceptionally well when sentiment was at an all time low.
The BoD have delivered some great wins during the downturn but their failure to build production in other areas has been the problem.
Think under different management we would have seen a multiple of todays share price, the acreage obtained has been largely undeveloped.
I would say listen to the board, now is the time to hold, this story won't be over within a week, we are still cheap. Hopeful for an actual bid within the coming weeks as companies digest the inside information, do think the company will be broken up which should give us a decent return given the current mcap.
Baysil, the one downside to Amerisur selling up is I will no longer be able to see your insightful predictions and information sharing, one of the few things that has kept me looking on here everyday.
Hope some of the LTHs that are no longer with us will be sending us some divine intervention.
Since everyone has had a prediction, my predicted take out price is 32p to knock us out the park. We hit 30p after the OBA got up and running, I don't see why we would not be worth at least this given the lift costs and future expansion opportunities.
This will be my last oil company investment bar BP, the sector is unloved and the major's need to diversify to come back into favour, while the world still needs oil, the climate change will become more apparent with extremes of weather, Energy usage isn't going to go down, but we need a solution to the amount of CO2 we are putting into the atmosphere. I don't have it but who knows what scientific advancements are round the corner. Helium 3 mines on the moon unlocking potential for cold fusion, we are lucky to live in a lifetime where this could be possible.
GLA.
