Introducing mothercare at Boots... on-line.

Luis2018 and Roamer1 Hi,
Totally agree with your comments. My next target top-up set at 16p.

The past story of Mothercare UK feels similar to Toys R Us UK. Strong brand but sadly driven down by on-line/Amazon, supermarkets and fashion brands and It's UK stores with high rents and out of town locations, which eventually had to close.
Now branded products in Boots and its network of franchise partners in 40 countries, who operate 791 stores worldwide seems well placed to upturn and transform the business. The opportunity to increase brand in new retailers, incremental franchises, on-line and operating profit seems very exciting for the business. Lower head-count and reduced office costs and an established worldwide business heritage makes this a strong buy for me and lets see... hopefully we should expect to see the share price to continue to increase and rally.
Great to see the price moving North :)

Agree... let's see what Mothercare brings in the near future reference supply chain orders and retail turnover over the coming challenging months ahead. Mothercare may use merchandisers or staff to implement key city centre stores with Boots approval, I'm sure they will want maximum impact? For MTC overcoming the product challenges, increasing customer awareness/market share and then I'm sure the biggest word will be profit. Not easy in the short term and I really do feel for the retail industry and especially the staff at the moment. Everyone needs Baby products... route to purchase either on-line or in bricks and mortar stores.
Lets see.

That's just what we needed a business update and note the visual branding in-store :) Now we will see what Mothercare brings in the near future reference supply chain orders and retail turnover over the coming challenging months ahead.

Leaseholds with ground rents issue, Brexit, Covid and the furlough scheme ending in October, I'm reviewing TW again in the New Year or certainly after October. I remember the 80's early 90's with 3M unemployed...the sharp fall, boom and bust. Not saying that we are in the same situation, but it does seem a ****tail for disaster if at the end of the furlough scheme many people become redundant. Sadly, Covid and a strong second wave would seriously damage everything. If we suddenly get a good Brexit deal with the EU, then we may bounce up nicely short term, who knows... always watching closely.
We need that vaccine.
Looking forward to seeing how Mothercare brands it's range within Boots. Whether it's a soft approach or Boots allow them to umbrella the products by Brand. Perhaps for the future SIS's or bespoke placement, must take a look at the products once launched. Altogether, we should see better margins and retail sales growth. The estimated 10M hit from store admin should dissolve once we hear more detail behind their estimated forecasts and targets within Boots. Products directly to large scale distribution retailers seem so much more economically sound without the admin and huge stores outlay to fill. So many Baby outlets have diminished and not just Mothercare, so possibly huge potential. Good to see the share price moving.
Tom Hi,
Good to hear from you and I hope you and the family are all keeping well.
Really informative and fun chats with the gang at TW years ago... miss that and hopefully dividends will return soon.
GGP very exciting, really well done so far and GL for today and the rest of the week.
Keep smiling :)

Bamps Hi,
I reckon soon. Considering stamp duty, demand, raising money from shareholders to buy land etc. I'm quite surprised to see the share price not higher currently especially at these low prices. Its certainly a strong short term investment opportunity if not long term.
Skeletor - well done on SNG fantastic returns yesterday :) I was also very pleased. It reminded me of NCYT when it really performed... out of NCYT a few months ago, but keep watching them occasionally just in case.

Raising proceeds for the opportunity to invest in land at these current attractive prices... seems a good business move. Back in with a smaller holding, but will top up accordingly.
Onwards and upwards.
