As usual the problem is one of valuation. How can you value all of GGP's other assets. Impossible, until they start drilling all of them. So I can't see Newcrest's shareholders willing to invest on a speculative basis. And I can't see GGP's shareholders accepting a low ball offer. But buying the rest of Hav? Sure. That can be valued fairly with all the info they will have to date, and then they can add in a royalty kicker per oz mined. As far as cash resources are concerned they can always do a paper deal 50/50.

So that’s why I think any buyout has to be on a conservative basis for their approval. For GGP to accept, it would need an extra kicker. Maybe a royalty payment per Oz ? Or additional milestone payments on reaching a certain number of ozs. Remember that no one knows how big Havieron is. Except it’s very big. Massive !

I have to admit I did sell a few shares about a year ago and put it in GGP. Not yet time to put it back into SCLP but I will one day.

This how I get £10 a share. 10 times 629m = £6.29 billion. In US$ about 8billion. Now that's not a lot if, and I repeat IF, a few of these drugs are successful. Seems cheap actually !
