I am shocked many still think this will jump. I hope I'm proved wrong.

My prediction is sub £1 within a few weeks. If this gets a second profit warning you are looking at serious trouble and 60p-75p range.

Even pre profit warning the signs were not looking good. Divi cut, debt increased. This is of real concern!

Financial summary

· Revenue of £2.2bn (H1 FY18: £2.1bn)

· Underlying operating profit of £51.8m (H1 FY18: £60.6m), after £10m net costs from the Future Proofing Kier programme

· Non-underlying charges of £59.9m

· Net debt position as at 31 December 2018 of £180.5m (December 2017: £238.5m)

· Average month-end net debt for the period of £430m (H1 FY18: c.£350m)

· Rights issue completed in December 2018 to strengthen the balance sheet

· Basic earnings per share of 30.8p (H1 FY18: 40.9p)

· Interim dividend of 4.9p.

The alarm over profits has raised fears that Kier, which employs 20,000 people and counts the delayed Crossrail line among its contracts, could be heading for a similar fate as collapsed rival Carillion.

In an unscheduled update Kier said it expected operating profits for the year ending in March to be £25m lower than previously guided.

Yes I like value, but I also don't like high risk. Issuing profit warnings is not something that drives me to buy a share. I have learnt from huge losses a few years back and was also hit by Carillion. So this for me is a strong sell and not worth the gamble. Its a shame but I can see this happening once more.

Someone mentioned about the government bailing them out.

I doubt it, they left Carillion high and dry and are more focussed on cost cutting, brexit and the looming announcement of the general election.

I posted here a few days ago warning those thinking this would bounce to be wary. The company appears to be following in the footsteps of Carillion and Connaught. Yes I was invested in both and had huge losses to the point that I almost lost 80% of my life savings at the time. I would not wish that on anyone. I never short and don't deramp. I would just like investors to think carefully here, read the news and you will see the comparisons.
Regardless of HS2 etc, Kier is in deep trouble financially. The SP reflects this. A recent bounce and investors buying in at £1.70 and are now locked in or sell at a small loss. This ill go lower and previous history with similar companies indicates this.

Rampers and Derampers do absolutely nothing to the SP Mani. You should know as a resident deramper. The SP is driven by buys, sells and sentiment. The sentiment here is positive and we are looking at a partnership deal with a US company which will send the SP into several ££££s territory.

Oh and you think if someone buys 5000 then it must be the same person selling 5000? Really...is that a real theory by you? Come on grow up and mature a little, maybe read a book.

Maybe he finally realised the potential and bought a share!
