Prawncurry, if you have any stock running at a loss outside your ISA - I think you can use that to your advantage.

I have some VOD which are 50% down, so as well as selling some RR, I shall be selling some VOD and using the capital loss from the VOD - to effectively increase my capital gains tax- thus allow me to move more RR into the ISA without incurring CGT

* I’m not great with tax issues- but believe this is sound????

There was a discussion on here -a few weeks back - about how to move shares into an ISA (and pay cap tax during the process).

I'm waiting for 22 Feb then start to lower my number of shares (gradually sell)- there are some good Divi stocks about (mng, phoenix ,lgen etc) in which I want to diversify my portfolio to create an old age base passive income. I expect to keep some Royce, as it Rolls to the top.

I'm eyeing up a Triumph Herald Estate (or similar) for when I cash in, and a Play Station (never had one before), and an e-bike since I’m getting old and can’t handle the hills too well

Morning , can anyone explain why on this site the Vol. Sold and Vol.bought figures seem to results on the opposite occur to the chare price. I.E if a lot were Bought - I'd expect the price to go up (supply and demand); less available for people to buy so the price goes up ?

Buys = sells and the chart is now going vertical . ,,,,,,,, happy days are here again, lets sing and shout ...........

From where I’m sat - with my little bar of stocks that I have pinned to the side of the page; (mostly FTSE100 companies). This has dropped the least today , and being as the FTSE100 drop has been significant enough to make the telegraph web page news - I'm very happy with my Rolls Royce lot , and look forward to February

I can't see a mention of SMR's anywhere in his article. Sounds to me like a hack with nothing to say. And the fact he concludes with 'Hold' further suggests he just writing words for the sake of it

I often think the developers of technology should strive harder to include additional buttons on forums like this. Naturally there should be the like/dislike button, but the development and inclusion of the 'sh__ on their face' button would be a super addition, in my humble view
