Yeah agreed bit nonsense to take something out of context like that to prove a point that doesn't exist. It is a turn of phrase and it in no way implies pdub has said he COULD stop him saying things, or that he in any way would intend to try.
I'm rather surprised this has been taken out of context in this way tbh. Reading implication that simply isn't there. Weird.
Truly outstanding stuff and much thanks to BBN for his continued amazing research.
One could view it as unfortunate, in a way, that so much must be given away to get things moving. But the truth is this IS what is needed. South Africa itself needs to benefit directly from this energy transition. And with the government as our business partner it will do so. And it will help drive our business forward along with it. It opens doors and keep them WIDE open.
Huge win win. Absolutely outstanding, mind blowing potential - starting in South Africa but with global reach.
Yeah that made my day. Now back to sleep until the market catches up!
Agree 100% KN, also with regard to the funding of Enerox and other people being able to buy into the story at low cost here. This is far more preferable than diluting BMN at the current ridiculous share price to expand Enerox ourselves. We either sell equity by allowing others to buy directly into Enerox, or we dilute ourselves to the tune of 7.5 million - which at our current sub 200m mcap would be a rather sickening > 3% dilution.
This type of dilution is not the plan and never has been, and it is spelled out quite clearly in the RNS:
"The investment of VRFB-H into Enerox is in line with Bushveld Minerals' strategy to mobilise capital to scale up growth and capacity of VRFB manufacturers, either through self-funding mechanisms or through funding sharing arrangements such as this agreement with Mustang. This strategy has been recently and successfully illustrated by Bushveld Minerals' investment and subsequent realisation of an interest in AIM-quoted Invinity Energy Systems."
Putting it into this context makes the deal exceptional. Not only that but some of these investors have been associated with BMN for quite some time - they are people with money, and contacts, that are now fully sold on VRFBs playing a big part in the storage market. We get these people on board with no dilution in our core business AND with big support for the energy storage business.
So for me, this RNS is really good news. Would it be better if we had a 1b mcap and were able to fund it all ourselves? Maybe. But we aren't and this looks to me like another rock solid deal and stepping stone on the way to the multi billion company we all hope (and most believe) BMN is capable of growing into.
Most companies on AIM would fly on such news, but not BMN. I don't know why but I do believe every firmly it will change. Rapidly. And when people least expect it. All just my opinion of course!
Daisy, you too are able to continue investing in this expanding, exciting, market at a snip by buying more BMN shares. This is a very welcomed RNS. It is sad that the board has deteriorated to what it is now but I, and many others I am sure, wait quietly for the moment the worm turns with regard to the share price.
Sorry to hear pdub, take care of yourself and yes there are far more important things than the share price which will, in time, very much take care of itself.
Others can wait patiently, sell out, or stick around and moan and be needlessly negative. The choice is entirely there’s what they do with their precious time
Not wanting to sound dispassionate but you have every choice. Noone has a gun to your head and if you believe the company is not doing a fantastic job, and that the share price simply doesn't reflect anything near fair value, then you really should sell.
Personally I am 25% down on a fairly large sum of money for me, despite having been here for years and with an 8p first buy. And I am very clear on my choices. That is why I continue to add more at every opportunity I can. The current market cap is laughable. AIM is sentiment driven and, for some (or many), reasons people would rather invest in what might be than what is.
Showing people estimated 50M+ profit in a years time just isn't dazzling enough. On the mining side alone at that.
But when it turns, and I believe quite firmly it will, it will be a ferocious rerate. Am I frustrated at the current price? Absolutely. Mainly as I'm jealous at anyone that can get a lower entry than me despite me having been here years. They are getting such a fantastic deal that I didn't imagine was possible.
Hope everyone is having a lovely spring day. The sun is shining, Vandium is rising.
But Mr Luciano, you stated you were looking for " what is the potential of BMN and its sp for growth in the next 12 moths?" but then after concluding BMN will make a profit by the end of 2022 you say " too much troubles by posting the info I was looking for."
Transparent much lol
How about mentioning the estimated 51.5 profit for YE2022. One would think that might be a significant driver of SP growth within the next 12 months and would be the exact sort of thing you are looking for? After all what is our Market Cap currently?
As has been mentioned read BBNs analysis to put some great sense on the numbers:
https://www.lse.co.uk/profiles/BigBiteNow/
You are welcome :)
Also "The BESS-linked bids would have been even more competitive, Nikomarov added, had the bidding rules permitted partial charging from the grid. As a consequence, the renewable plants and the BESS solutions had to be oversized to meet the RMIPPPP’s dispatchability requirements."
One would think charging and discharging more often would play much better with VRFBs also. This was simply not our bid to win. It was supposed to be Gas. But more projects are coming all over the world. Smarter projects with different objectives. Aside from Eskom of course. And VRFBs will, rather obviously IMO, play a big part in it. Just ask China!
Well I for one am very excited waiting for this announcement. Not because I think we will be mentioned (although we may very well be involved somewhere in the chain). And not that I think we will get news from the company (although we may).
Being involved, being named, and an RNS are just bonuses on (finally) watching the massive opportunity for energy storage in South Africa take off. We all know it's coming, we all believe BMN has a huge part to play in it, and here it is - right now!
Nothing is currently reflected in the share price so this is a free ride. It's game on! Super exciting and happy days!
I will be ever so glad when I can no longer post about what a great buying opportunity it is. I'm getting fed up of hearing rumours from PIs but no word from the company. The current situation is surely testing the patience of all of us, no matter how long we have been here. Who wants to sit and watch the value of their investment erode daily for no reason whatsoever?
Having said the above. The only reason I'm frustrated is the gross misvaluation that is happening here and the companies failure to deal with it. It is not with the business itself, it is at communications above all else, and that's surely the easiest thing to correct. So why hasn't it been? I know, I know Fortune likes to keep his cards close to his chest.
For new investors I think the current price represents an amazing opportunity and am just about to go and buy another couple of thousand to put my money where my mouth is (again, again, again).
But it is high time JSE happened. It is high time BE delivered real news. I have, and will continue to, express these opinions to the company themselves via Chika. But that doesn't alter what an amazing price this is and how far north we should be just based on the things we DO know - funded, increasing production in a rising commodity price - the number of VRFB projects happening worldwide.
My opinion (and it is just that) is that BMN will be well north of previous highs of ~50p at some point. But man am I thirsty for news and movement. RNS now please! :)

Very interesting stuff isn't it!
Thanks for posting, that was great to have on in the background while working.

"South Africa may be the only country in Africa where integration and industrialization of the entire battery storage value chain (mining, manufacturing, operation) is feasible."
And then to the end with a smile, everything good.
Nothing in life is ever certain, but us getting a chunk of this first batch of tenders that allow an industry to grow in South Africa ready for the next lot of tenders, is very likely IMO.
It's unfathomable the opportunity in front of us vs current SP. I don't really mind, I can wait. The roof will be blown off soon, IES almost same price as us? Honestly what a stupid market.
Just reread my email and it is actually very different, which is quite cool. Feels much more personal. So thanks very much as well for that Chika! Not going to repeat a lot of the same or similar sentiments but will just say.
“ As a Group, we have previously announced our intentions to attract institutional investors into the Company and our plans to add a mature market such as the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). The step to a more mature market will need to occur at the appropriate time.”
As always nothing that we didn’t already know, of course. And nothing especially exciting. But my own personal viewpoint is that we are on boarding those institutional investors now in what seems like pretty favourable conditions for us, considering.
My own view, as always, is that very soon the roof will be blow off here. 17p first, then 25, then? But ah what do I know!
Good night folks hope we all have a good day tomorrow!
I also received the same email, give or take. Tbh I’ve certainly had a lot more twitter alerts for Bmn than I’m used to. And agree this RNS feels like a step in the right direction. They should be listening to us. There is no doubt most of us have no idea how to run a mining company, never mind kickstart and industry and develop a vertically integrated mines to batteries business.
But that doesn’t mean we have no understanding of business in general, or the mindset of the aim investor, or marketing, or any number of things that may help return shareholder value.
My own email did divert in the sense it spoke about bringing institutional investors on. And I have to agree that looks like it has been achieved. I will have another read of the email and see if it is worth quoting. But it made me feel better I guess, so it served its purpose. More positive days and a quick jump to 17p (for starters) would make me feel even better!
Ferring, you mentioned planet of the humans. That film disgusted me. I’ll researched, sensationalist and really crappy journalism. I was suprised Moore put his name anywhere near it. I have since educated myself further on the many many ways it misled and misinformed. Perhaps you are the one that should research further. There are plenty of debunking videos online you can use as starting points for your research.
It is shocking that the people with the most closed minds are the ones that think they see things that others don’t. They have a tendency to believe the first counter view that they hear and, again, believe they are seeing beyond others.
Pretty loose definition of "everyone" you have there. Everytime it hits 15p I think I will trade some but I never do. Because one of these times the raise will eclipse any short gains I will make. And knowing me I will lose out doing so. After all with the rake the MMs take there is a loser on every trade and them the winners. Let's see what happens eh.
Company is making excellent progress and that truly is all that matters. I'm sure we can all agree on that no?
"if China decide to install vanadium flow battery technology all over the Country then yes...vanadium prices will go up based on fundamental and yes....vanadium mining will flourish."
Glad you agree. There are many other ways that VRFBs can take off big time, but thanks for highlighting one of them (and a very likely one going by recent activity) so clearly.
Agree Libero, the panic is the exact thing that makes people sell their shares at times like this - creating a self fulfilling prophecy. Another way to look at the current activity is that some have sold and the MMs have dropped the price. now if this drop is met with more sells from panicking people then we will drop further. But if the sells dry up and only buys come in then we will blast through resistance.
I defo think it's a little early for panic after all the good days we have had. Nothing goes up in a straight line.
There are bound to be nerves around this price.
The MMs will absolutely take advantage of that and make lots of profit.
Everyone invested here should be doing so on the belief that we are way undervalued.
The dropping V price caused a big SP drop (I thought the initial rise was more on the back around the massively exciting energy storage opportunity but I was wrong, apparently)
Covid kicked us in the teeth like most others
Then we have GS selling down and causing a huge drag at a time of maximum nervousness in the market
And the energy storage opportunity is massive and it is arricing right NOW.
All this added together should be a clear indicator that one of these times, and very very soon, we are going to blast back up to 20p. I will be rather surprised if it is not this time. But then I'm wrong so many times I wouldn't bother listening to me.
I do know if anyone wants the share price to rise all I have to do is sell a few thousand.
