All the press !!! ... one article over a month ago which RR responded to and then some journos at Reuters regurgitated the same rumour .... hasn't been any new information, all just journos making it up - thats what they are paid to do.

Trading update was only 3 weeks ago .... the half year results aren't going to be vastly different than whats already been said, its the forward guidance the market will look for and resolve the RI rumour once and for all.

I meant actually trading, i.e. flying, taking bookings. Not Share trading :)

Virgin USA that has filed for bankruptcy protection while it restructures its finances ..... it hasn't stopped trading .... so no affect on RR as can be seen by todays rising Share price

What I mean is they would need the backing of shareholders to pass an RI and I dont see that many wanting to dilute at the level that is being rumoured. If we dont hear anything in August I would suggest there is not going to be an RI. 2nd wave of CV not really happening of course

I'd be surprised if they can even make an RI fly with shareholders .... its not like IAG that has the Saudis owning 25% and deep pockets. RR shares are spread very thinly; they will need to get a lot of good news out before asking Shareholders for more money

I topped up at 2.40 last week, thinking that was a good price :D

About time the Board put some positive news out ... this fall isn't all down to a possible RI, we are being hammered day after day, this is a loss of confidence and the board need to do something about that .... there'll be no market cap left to do any RI if this keeps going.

It is grossly misleading to claim a rights issue was in an RNS.

Some reuters journalists wrote an article based on undisclosed sources that RR had been talking to some institutions about raising capital ... this is the same regurgitated gossip from a month ago that forced RR to release a statement saying they were looking at all options .... as I imagine a lot of companies are doing in these times of cashburn.

Yesterdays drop was due to Boeing results - you only have to look at all other aerospace manufacturers across the globe to see they all fell at 2:35 (GMT) yesterday

RR were only forced into issuing a hasty RNS on 3rd July after the first lot of rumours about a placing dropped the shareprice 15% . My view is if they sell ITP they won't need a placing ... they have 8 billion in available funds and have already stated they expect to burn through 1 B in the second half of this year.

All this changes if long haul takes off or a definate 2nd wave occurs.

This is weeks old rumours that already dropped the shareprice 15% shortly before the last results RNS .... usual "sources said" nonsense. May well come to light but may well not.... same as every other company at the moment.

The thing is they never say when they will get to that price :D

Totally the right move .... ignore all the 5 percenters and doom mongerers trying to get in cheaper and just chuck it in an ISA and leave well alone until it recovers.

Unfortunately the recent good news for RR has coincided with the general market reversing .... Down dropped 350 poitn yesterday, tech stocks have gotten too hot, too quickly. CV19 is still raging in the USA. RR engines still not flying ... so back down we go.

Think we need to hold over 275 today to move into a new trading pattern. But every time we have made it to here its slipped back in the afternoon; presumably as short termers sell out again.
