Sell some of your shares now and use that money to buy your remaining RI shares.

OR sell some of your Nil Paid rights (after 23rd) to pay for the remainder of your 32p rights (costs you nothing)

consider that this was over £7 pre covid, thats 5 times yesterdays SP. Yes it will take 2,3,4 years for airtravel to return to 2019 levels (post any vaccine) but RR even at the worst case scenario expect H2 2021 to be at 70% of pre covid levels and in +FCF.

So its reasonable to assume that even when the SP is 54p post the RI it an climb back to over £2 within 12-18 months.

Cant see many PI's having the free cash to double down here. Institutions are going to end up with the lions share and then they will just dump it on the market

Someone mentioned a short attack the other day. I've seen this happen before ... the SP dropping day after day on very little volume .... nobody wants buy to be 5% down the next day so bull day traders wont trade and shorters just keep shorting it.

What I don't see is any single large institution shorting so can only be lots of short term shorters jumping on the bandwagon.

The good news is, just like when the bulls get over confident when a SP will go up day after day and valuations get detached form reality the same will happen with the shorters, expecting a drop day after day until they get burned.

Note the fast jump to 170 last week when the market thought RR had secured sovereign wealth fund backing .. BEWARE

From H1 results - " 47% lower large engine flying hours ". We know that larger engines are the worst affected; we also know that Q1 was almost full lockdown and flights where less than 20%. So im expecting H2 numbers to be better than H1 .... not great but not ZERO.

There seem to be constant hammering home of the "FACT" that there are no flights happening and that RR engines flying hours have been zero for the whole year.

total flights (flighttradar) are at about 75% of pre covid levels ... so NOT zero. RR have some 13000 engines on planes. Your not going to tell me none of those have been flying since March !!!

They are not going to rush into an RI when they dont need to; they have time to get funds elsewhere

.... you need to read the actual RNS, not the regurgitated, headline grabbing, click-bait web news that's out there..... nowhere in any RNS do RR say they have held talks with sovereign wealth funds.

Neither do they deny an RI, they quite clearly state that they are looking at all funding options - as you would expect any sensible BOD to do in these extraordinary times

At this rate the market cap will be less than they are selling ITP Aero for !!!!

57.5 is commercial flights ... total flights is 75% .... Ive had a look through some freighter websites and they are saying that air freight is actually up in some regions. Another interesting fact is that pure freighter planes are maxed out at the moment because a lot of freight would normally go in passenger airplane bellys. Some passenger planes have been converted to freighter only; but I can't get much data on that only seen a number of articles about it.

Flight radar has total daily flights at about 75% of 2019 levels since early august compared to 25% in April at the height of lockdown. Now of course we cant directly correlate that to RR engines in use but things simply arent as bad as some people are making out in civil aerospace.

Anyone know were you can find freight flight statistics ? I have a feeling there has been a dramatic increase here
