I wonder what the announcement will be about? I hope it is something good.
oops FAANG
Yes, I would imagine they will. FANG will have already paid for the verdict of the "probe". Then it's back to business as usual with them.
Interesting post. On that note is there any evidence that posts, either positive or negative, on a forum like this one actually affect the price? I wouldn't have thought the opinions of a small number of PIs would have. More than happy if someone can demonstrate otherwise.
OK Thanks for the replies. I wasn't sure if the first day of trading as Tap/R1 counted as merger completion. And thanks for that little insight into buybacks 1GW.
Stt1, thanks I have read the RNS already, but I was wondering when the merger completion might be? I take it this is something that is open ended? Or is there a fixed date? I would imagine it won't be public anyway? Sorry but I am not too good with business theory and terminology.
Sorry if this comes across as a daft question, but are there any dates out for the above?
Thank you to all that attended the EGM for keeping the forum informed.
"FB suffered due to Data Misuse last year" - By "suffered" do you mean "posted record profits"?
Some good posts today, thanks to 1GW and Brass for putting some numbers up. I am not too good at doing numerical analysis, never was much of an accountant.
Trading is always easy with hindsight. Knowing my luck if i sold some at a perceived high point, the price would continue to rise - not too bad if i only had sold a few though! The bottom seems easier to spot although i recently misjudhed it and got another 26k at 162, however im not complaining at that price.
From The FT, about Iceland's orang-utan ad: "Iceland's ability to connect with millions of viewers without spending a penny on television ads should be grim news for commercial broadcastets, largely because it suggests that the right campaign can deliver a mass audience online for a fraction of the cost" "Can TV advertising survive, or is it, like the Iceland orang-utan, an endangered species? There is life in it yet, but brands will know that they are not lacking alternative ways to get their messages out there."
Nice post Brass. I am sure a lot of shareholders share these ideas.
I hope you are correct Tricky.
They need to concentrate on making profit and the share price will follow, not the other way round. I am not sure about official guidance for the next 12 months regarding profit forecast. If they are in profit I will be surprised, but always hopeful.
Yeah i did say that i was reading straight off the chart, i forgot about the consolidation. I dont think they will be in profit in the next couple of years, but if they do start to male profit then you know as well as everyone else what will happen. I do think it is good that they dont concentratr on the share price, as that would signal the end. There are certainly negatives, howrver i think the potential upsode is worth it.
I first bought shares in Blinkx when they were about 72p ( the first time round!). I think i bought about 30000 then. Jeez that must be about 9 years ago now!!!
I think you may have missed my 19.42 snd 19.48 posts?
I dont think anyone on this forum is of the opinion that Rhythmone is going to make a profit. However it doesn't stoo the price fluctuating.
OK so 16.5 to 48.5. Anyway the point is it tripled in value in 12 months, The price will continue to fluctuate for the forseeable future, as Malbright alluded to.
