In light of the ongoing misinformation and fearmongering in this forum, I thought it would be helpful to provide a factual overview of MET1’s key assets and strategic direction based on RNS, their website and interviews with senior managers. Their website is outdated in places, and many investors remain unclear on the company’s core portfolio and basic concepts such as warrants.
Based on the asset base and wider market backdrop, I believe MET1 has a credible chance of success (a personal view, of course), though it may take time. Whether or not MET1 ultimately succeeds, only time will tell — but questioning the company’s legitimacy and sowing doubt about the business is unfair, especially given what has been achieved in such a short period.
Finland
1. Black Schist Ni-Cu-Co-Zn Project (Kainuu Schist Belt)
* Rautavaara (R1): 57.1 Mt JORC Inferred
* PEA (Jan 2025): NPV₅ $41m, IRR ~9% (rises with nickel price)
* Nickel is volatile — currently ~$15,151/t, but hit $100,000 in March 2022. Even modest price increases can improve project economics. MET1 may be sitting on a significantly more valuable asset if the cycle turns.
* Adjacent to Terrafame’s Talvivaara mine
* Paltamo (P5): Marginal at current prices but offers optionality
* EU Strategic Project: Application under Critical Raw Materials Act (expected to be filed in Q1 2025 based on a previous RNS) — would unlock non-dilutive EU funding and streamline permitting. I've contacted MET1 for an update.
2. Hammaslahti Cu-Zn Project
* Historic output: >7 Mt @ 1.16% Cu, 1.55% Zn
* Drill campaign planned for summer 2025
3. Outokumpu Cu Project
* Historic: 28.5 Mt @ 3.8% Cu
* 2025: Geophysics and drilling, 6 drill-ready targets
Norway
1. Råna Ni-Cu-Co Project (39% ownership)
* Kingsrose farming in up to 75%
* 2023–24 drilling: up to 1.6% Ni
* Based on CEO interviews, production has started and JV structure helps keep it self-sustaining. Underexplored and near infrastructure.
United States
1. Squaw Creek Uranium – Wyoming
* 53 claims (~430 ha), ISR-type target
* Initial work: log analysis, radiation surveys
2. Uravan Belt Uranium-Vanadium – Colorado
* 59 claims (~490 ha); assays up to 2.23% U₃O₈
* Historic mining district
3. Swales Gold Project – Nevada, USA
The package includes 139 claims (~2,780 acres) via an exclusive exploration lease with an option to purchase.
* Location: ~13 miles from Gold Quarry and 16 miles from Goldstrike — both major producing mines
* Geology: Sits on favourable Carlin-type structural belts (Roberts Mountains thrusts)
* Work Plan: Phase 1 (2025) will include prospecting, mapping, sampling, and geophysics
* Strategic Upside: Underexplored ground in a top-tier gold district, supported by strong gold prices and infrastructure
