@try2buylow does the tax percentage change depending if trading or investing? It is the first time I heard this. I don't see such distinction here: https://www.gov.uk/tax-sell-shares
Thanks Saintsmith. Astrazeneca for example is around 8000 and has a valuation of 104bn, that's why I am asking. I understand that at some point some II could want a bigger slice of the company and force the situation although not anytime soon but it is a situation I've not experienced in the past, that's why I am asking
Actually, question to you all: If the company is on the road to let's say 7bn, is it possible that they will dilute the share price for whatver reason? As 8400 looks insane for a non US stock IMO.
I would appreciate thoughts on that as this would undermine any profit we have, no?
**** me. That's a very good guess. Many thanks Wilson63.
I would need to investigate further but very happy to hear other people's opinions meanwhile. Actually, we haven't heard anything else regarding the COVID-HT test since that RNS, have we?
@ShaunP
Jose is only for males. I believe he says that we won 25% of a tender for care homes (21,723 care homes in the UK) - approx 5,000 PCR instruments. Then these would be a 16x of those 300 PCR instruments but he says 20x.
That's about it. Anyway, no reasoning so IMO just a random guess.
"I may be wrong and I am sure Sarah can correct me but I think end point PCR is quicker than real-time PCR as it’s based on the platau phase. So I think she is meaning it’s positive as it will be quicker to process samples"
"Yes - and you can get a huge number on to one machine."
Same link - thread. Any relation with us? I don't see it but maybe someone can comment further.
Could somebody with more knowledge explain what an Endpoint PCR is?
Director of Testing, NHS Test and Trace
"A day well spent at the National Biosample Centre who currently process a whopping 50,000 COVID Tests a day via 24/7 shift work. The skill, expertise, passion and enthusiasm was palpable and I know there’s much more to come from them yet. End Point PCR here we (soon) come!"

I did find this explanation:
"End point PCR is the analysis after all cycles of PCR are completed. Unlike qPCR, which allows quantification as template is doubling (exponential phase), end point analysis is based on the platau phase of amplification. P32 radioisotope (for RNA), or northern blot, is not a end point because is not a RT PCR."
And this link explaining the difference between dPCR vs. qPCR vs. Endpoint PCR:

Although I am unsure to guess if this could relate to Novacyt somehow. Could somebody shade some light, please?
Hi Squidge13, is NHS Digital involved on http://bidstats.uk/tenders/ or (probably) is it more related to this? https://digital.nhs.uk/news-and-events/news
As per your comment, given the "relation to the testing ramp up" looks like tenders to me but logic tells me News.
Hi Squidge13, may I ask what exactly is NHS Digital? Are the ones that process http://bidstats.uk/tenders/ or is it something else?
Please read this from Twitter: https://twitter.com/Jim71498900/status/1317101129914699776
"NCYT isn't required to announce TR1 changes in significant interests as we are used to under the City Code. They follow a French Code instead that exempts them from the requirement. They've tried to draw attention to this by footnote in past RNSs"
"Footnote reads "the Company pursuant to Article L. 223-7 of the French Commercial Code and the Company's Articles. The Company is not subject to the disclosure guidance and transparency rules made by the Financial Conduct Authority under Part VI of FSMA".. on RNS 11 Sep 19 as eg"
"short of space - RNS 11 Sep 19 Conversion of Loan Notes is one of a series with same wording. I was told it is in the listing doc to Aim but didn't check as audited statutory accounts do not report significant shareholdings either"
IMO he clearly referenced many tests and companies. Some could be Avacta, some Novacyt as well but certainly he said:
"We've already bought millions of these tests, some of which are very simple - meaning you simply need to wipe the swab in your mouth and can give a result as quickly as in 15 minutes."
And this one is the one quoted too: https://twitter.com/10downingstreet/status/1317133815328931840?s=21
This is the reason of the breakout in France. It doesn't mention Novacyt explicitly but we could easily get a good chunk.
