Done a bit of research on how Serica sell their gas:

'day ahead pricing, at which the Company’s gas is sold, ranging from below 100p/therm to over 500p/therm in recent months. '
So what we should be looking at is this for relevant Gas pricing?

If so working on 1 MW/h = 34.12 Therms, it means that this week SQZ are selling on average at about 139p/Therm?
Which is OK isn't it? Hedging costs greatly reduced, so not so bad at these lowish prices when you consider:
' Average 1H 2022 sales prices net of system fees were: 136 pence per therm including contract revenue'
Some one correct me.

In case you're not sure:
'If you buy a stock one day before the ex-dividend, you will get the dividend. If you buy on the ex-dividend date or any day after, you won't get the dividend'

This will definitely rise, but the market is not looking at fundamentals just now. I'm going to do the same with SQZ ex div dated 27th for about 2.3%. They also are at a silly low price, debt free, £600m cash but their SP is famously volatile but has to rise lol!

It definitely was! If you remember the SP kept rising after the ex-dividend date, maxed out and was pleasantly surprised to be able to sell at 4.90.

The fact that the gap between BP has opened (again) for no reason makes me think our shorty friends are at work again. :(

Could be interesting. Even if the Gas prices settle at this lowish level, the board has to provide a return. They will not need so much cash for their security with gas price hedge counterparties, so have to consider a buy back to dampen this volatility, which may of course be affected by the results from North Eigg. If North Eigg doesn't come off, the Board have to consider a merger of some description. So either way you look at it, the medium term prospects for this stock are good.

Talking of dividends, the same drop has happened with SQZ even though they are debt free, paying a 2.2% dividend next week and have got £600m of cash - it's mad!

There's that gap again between us and BP. Shorters back?

Divi next week might attract some attention.

It's mad - Debt free, ~£600m of free cash, t/o ~£750m, yet a market cap of £911m!

Looks like a bit of off loading going on - Pension firms? Will shoot up once their done.

So open for takeover/merger at this price. Hard to argue against the 425p Kistos offer!

Not sure what's holding this back. There seems to be a lot of support for this...

Does the dividend get paid today?

Any way the shorters are hopefully happy now, they'll be wanting a rise soon, they could cause a short squeeze which will be exciting!

On 25 August 2022, Harbour announced an interim dividend of 11 US cents per share. The interim dividend will be paid in GBP Sterling on 19 October to Harbour shareholders on the register at the close of business on 9 September 2022 (record date). The ex-dividend date will be 8 September 2022.

Briefly, in order to be eligible for payment of stock dividends, you must buy the stock (or already own it) at least two days before the date of record and still own the shares at the close of trading one business day before the ex-date.
