That was from yesterday ? That was the whole debate on this board yesterday so why post it today kitty ? Seems a strange thing to do...
Posting a negative story from 24hrs ago when there is new news this morning about travel corridors and government backing to open travel..
Are you invested here kitty ?
Funny to talk about sentiment changing, the now main story on sky news is about ‘calls to allow government to allow foreign travel’ one source is the head of the transport committee reporting to the government task force.
Understand where the story came from yesterday - a scientist. Not a government spokesman, important difference
Actually the Europe crisis bodes less well for the likes of TUI and EasyJet, whizz etc. People will still have money to go away - the US vacc program is flying 50% vacc by June. BA is a key trans Atlantic route player, plus Middle East. You may well see an explosion in other destinations.
Europe is a mess, but with any wave it will pass... and the vacc program will continue day in day out. Normality will resume.
Big blue this is separate to the gov strategy on return to travel. This document pertaines to the debate of the necessity of vaccinations as part of travel within the EU passport Travel scheme.
The debate relates mainly around the impact it would have on those who didn’t want or have a vaccine to travel. Any uk national travelling abroad may well have to follow the eu requirements.
The point of this debate was that now the UK is outside of the eu it does not need to adhere or follow those same restrictions on travel to UK
No impact for us
The deramping on this feed this morning is truly pathetic..
There is so much Bullsh&t it’s unreal. What is the issue ? If you’ve missed the boat, go and buy elsewhere with another stock, if IAG crash come and back and gloat all you want. But in the interim please F**k off and stop bringing down the feed with your constant negative nonsense unsupported claims of death and destruction for this SP it’s ruining it for those who are actually invested
Big blue, I like your posts.. but yes let’s not get started with that bloody UT trade again
Either it will go up on the expectation of eu travel announcement on wed or it won’t, I’m not looking past this week for now, this share is a one piece of news at a time pony for now, for me anyway
Missing the point.... what does the new process say
1. PROOF OF BOTH VACCINES
2. NEGATIVE TESTS
3. PROOF OF ANTIBODIES
It doesn’t say just get on a flight without any of the above therefore the Infection level is immaterial. People need to get to understand COVID is now here FOREVER - it is like flu, measles, mumps, Rubella, the common cold. It is now engrained into our DNA and will continue to evolve and mutate.
It will be controlled by updated vaccines and certain control measures. But it’s here to stay forever, the two key factors are
Hospitalisation rate
Morbidity rate
I should state why having just said that - EU passport travel announcement linked to vaccines / neg test or antibodies. Whilst this isn’t the big one for BA (trans at corridors) it will be a start and that translates to sentiment
My main annoyance is ramping or Deramping with no evidence or substantial basis Of argument. @Big Blue I like your posts but you did just that on Friday old chap - ‘ expects a 5% rise with no further detail’. At the end of the day people should be adult Enough to see through any post if they are big enough to invest their money. However it’s tiresome when you get Del Boy ‘ this time next week rodders we will be millionaires’.
As for next week - I am hopeful of a decent rise into Wednesday, will it be meteoric.. no I don’t think so, but a couple of % across the week will be most welcome !
@livepari - I fully concur I think this has 20-30% short term with 10% in one day on the back of a specific piece of news ! Equally it could drop that amount if the news goes the other way. However I’m heavily invested here for now so I’m on the upside of news fingers crossed. I think this week will see 10% either way on EU announcement
The problem with the input on this board is that it is from people trying to rationalise or justify future profits / performance long term. I can’t disagree with any of it..
However it has NO inpact short or medium term 1 month - 6 months on this SP. Any rise or fall is purely sentiment / covid news dependant.
The rise is irrational, no different to tech valuations, however the markets are mad, best to try and accept it and not try and rationalise it.
