Stephan Bernstein, CEO of GreenRoc, details the PFS results for the new graphite processing plant. Watch the video here.
Let’s see what the score is Friday… we know it’s not going to be pretty however that alone won’t impact the SP, the deciding factors will be -
1. Is it as bad as expected or worse
2. What is the forecast for q2
Results are funny things.. part of me would like to see BA restructure, downsize and become leaner, except that would mean thousands of job cuts. Maybe that’s what they need to do - maybe that would be a wake up call to the government, except it would also mirror
Utter devastation for families up and down the country no sane individual would like to see that. But from a purely non emotive business perspective maybe that’s what is needed. Either way by 4pm Friday we
Will have an idea where this is going + or -
Mararab, that’s fine and I respect your honesty with it. However the danger on a board is that one promotes ones own narrative endlessly with a view to a sp returning to a certain price + or - and then one loses any objectivity or reason with a wider audience as it’s perceived that one is only pursuing a single agenda regardless of the overall picture.
The harsh reality of the situation is that currently there is as much uncertainty to take it back to £1 as there is to £2… however the joy with any Discussion Board is a reasoned debate covering both sides of the equation rather than a dogged approach to just one.
The only people currently dictating this SP are the government with their travel policies. Until that changes none of us can accurately predict what will be.
However I also thank you for replying and stating your position.
Mararab - genuine question, yours posts are disproportionately negative reading your history. I am all for a balanced argument of which there is scope for both. Sp may indeed Tank, however I become suspicious when individuals only post negative opinions or jump on vague articles and try to promote them..
I’m no ramper I’ve clearly said it could go to £2 or £1 my average is close to £2, I’m very upfront, no BS… however I think your posts should reflect the overall picture rather than just negativity… only my humble opinion, filter me or disregard no offence taken either way just looking for balanced views
Sundezena, I do apologise - I was looking at the wrong data, I was looking at flightracker which I’m assuming most of been a snapshot of time. I was trying to find 24hr traffic, I’ll check out your link
Cheers pal
One article mate with no official source… I’ll wait till it’s confirmed. Impact on economy will be too great I think. It’s more about entry requirements - double vacc plus negative PCR test within 24hrs for Sep launch
Sundezena easyJet had 120 flights not 1200 flights, BA is averaging about 80-90 this weekend but that includes long haul. Once us opens it will increase massively with NY and LA flying 4 times daily Instead of the current 1
Interesting as well how today has seen the 5th straight
Drop of cases in a row and has hardly been covered by the main news channels.
What is starting to make my blood boil is how the uk media are reliant on a feeding frenzy of panic laden headlines and data. They for one are clearly in no rush to see any return to normality. They will be peddling nonsense for days and weeks to come in a desperate attempt to secure ratings or readership.
The Greece / Spain story is a non starter - Uk gov already confirmed unlikely - if it had any likelihood i would suggest gov would of refused to comment or said it was Under daily review
I think unlikely but what do I know… in fact I think at the review more likely you will see France removed. Whilst the beta Variant is rising the actual percentage of arrivals testing positive from Greece and Spain is less than 0.4%
Whilst I can appreciate the impact negative sentiment can have in the media, ultimately money talks - financials will prevail, plus or negative that will dictate the future sp.
There has been a co-ordinated attack on air travel for at least six months now, led by the government, determined in all but name to ban all travel this year.
This can be traced back to May when Ben Wallace and others were wheeled out at the weekend to say they wouldn’t go abroad. No doubt their pals were tipped a wink and opened a short!
There is a more sinister angle which is how this era has accelerated the climate warriors attack on all forms of fossil fuel travel.
If they had their way, there would no travel, we would be destined to return to Victorian era British staycations. No thanks!!!!! I have NO intention of holidaying in the UK that’s not a holiday.
Travel is what connects us to new cultures, sights and experiences across the globe
They made a
Sadly Fugazi totally contradictory reporting to the telegraph and BBC news.. which articulate the actual flight numbers this weekend of 65% 2019 levels.
The media has now used Covid to promote their own agenda whether that is left, right or central. The independent will revel in a reduction of travel as it is aligned with their green agenda.
I work of flight traffic - week on week 50% weekend increase in flights for BA, i can’t comment on easyJet or others as I’m not invested.
However even with significant uplift we won’t see a substantial rise in SP until sleepy Jo follows through with his ‘announcement in a few days’ - that was close to 2 weeks ago now.
once that is confirmed as a double jab negative PCR test from September. I will be booking my flight to NYC! They will also be hosting the Marathon in October
Sky news has sadly become the Mail online of live news reporting. I’ve noticed in recent weeks - sensationalist Breaking news ! Headlines, then be removed entirely by the end of the day from the feed.
Once upon a time they were a credible news outlet, now sadly they are just chasing figures with ever increasing desperate sloppy reporting
Very sensible view thank you, I agree Us route is key, Canada is a good route as well. Cargo has seen a significant increase over the last quarter, however that doesn’t negate very severe haemorrhaging of cash. They have been increasing from about 30 flights a day from Heathrow to now between 60-70 however I don’t know what the pre Covid flight numbers where so my figures have little context. Additionally Iberia has been flying more in Europe as it opened its travel back in June
And before I get jumped on - for talking about my mother’s in laws next door neighbours dog Walker (you get the point)
My neighbour flies the transatlantic route and he gets his schedule 3 weeks in advance and said no changes at present. All US routes are still flying but roughly - 1 per day. Pre pandemic NY saw 4 flights per day
I spoke with my neighbour who is a long-standing BA captain - he says unlikely before Autumn, so I’m guessing September. Likely to be double vacced negative PCR test within 24hrs, that’s looking like the new industry standard.
Plenty of people will flock to USA over half term and Christmas. Main challenge will be interim results on the 30th - will projected cash burn be more or less and what is the forecast ?
Easy jet results were actually quite bullish with forecast. It didn’t help the price particularly but they were also riding far higher than IAG in terms of overall loss of SP
The government has to review the whole traffic light system by the 30th July - taking into account the Virus strains and impact upon industry.
The reality is that the delta variant will be worldwide within 6 weeks regardless of Border control. It’s now the main variant in USA therefore ironically it shouldn’t impact upon opening up the corridor.
I’ve been researching it tonight, either way we should get an answer by the end of the week.
I am utterly Bemused by this government and the worldwide experiment we are now undertaking whilst everyone sits it out on the side watching
Pretty sickening to see 25% of the share value wiped in less than 2 weeks. I agree time to switch off and Check back in later. Probably now closer to £1 than £2 that’s for sure.. interestingly as well no news trickling out about us corridor so that was probably a red herring old Jo just trying placate Mutti Merkel with an answer that won’t be followed up
