Reigoso used to be part of SAV’s previous holdings before it was commandeered back by the Gov a few years back. It then didn’t seem to become part of the Gov proposed auction areas nor was it specifically excluded. It was certainly an area of interest and I doubt that has changed. It would be a great addition and create a European hub that would match anywhere and catapult SAV.

….yes, there has been a 2 year gap but this segment of the Global Lithium Podcast remains pretty much intact, and the upcoming scoping study will refresh values based on more current estimates.

OTH, hi. The DIA is probably more important than anything else as it effectively sanctions the mine. The subsequent stages before the final EIA are to button down the practicalities and implementation, presumably any conditions etc, but the fundamental decision has been agreed to.

I don’t think so. I don’t think there is anything that requires APA to detail where they are up to in their procedures publicly, until the decision is announced. Yes, it would need to have been passed on to the Government by now but I am not sure whether APA will have to inform SAV either.

Whenever it lands, whichever way, as it must, it will need to be conveyed to the market. Personally I would have thought this wii warrant an intra day RNS

Saw this note earlier on. Lots of folk have their views but it might be a bit of a positive read across assuming the decision is positive over the next 3 weeks.

My understanding, probably wrong, is that if APA are minded to refuse, then they have to notify the ministry at least 10 working days prior to the end of the process of May 31st. That would mean that they effectively will have had to make their decision prior to May 17th, either to refer back or they are fundamentally happy but perhaps fine tuning any stipulations. Eagle eyes post 18th I would say.

Anyone might have thought that Brian Rix had been reborn hearing the stories of the goings on in the Portuguese government. Bicycles, laptops, satchels, late night loo lock-ins, resignations refused and accepted, sackings, calls for fresh elections etc etc. hope they will be able to concentrate on things come the end of the month

Sometimes there are comments about the demise of lithium and the rise of hydrogen as the future. I can perhaps see this for trucks, trains etc but was interested to see this article

Maybe the advantages of hydrogen are not quite so clear cut and that is before any further advancements in battery technology. Fortescue, one of the biggest advocates of hydrogen, are active in Portugal among other places but are they covering both bases.

And European manufacturers manufacture in Europe .
