BS
I wonder whether you have any pet ideas as to the short term possibilities for SCLP... it's obvious that the "phoney war" we've all been enduring of late is getting to the BB and although I remember your summary of expected news posted a few days ago, would you care to venture any radical suggestions as to what might "flint the tinder" for us? I must admit to having no idea what could be the catalyst... any number or combinations of events could do the trick, but knowing you have a more analytical outlook than many (but not all) any suggestion from you would be helpful to me.
Knowing that I'm really going against your usual restrained approach in these matters, I felt it might be a question worth posing, but if you'd prefer not respond I'd quite understand.

Interesting, but since you say,
" The triggering of the herding instinct obviously needs a catalyst and I think, at present, this is most likely to be trial results. Having said that, winning the grand challenge could also be that catalyst. Who knows with the AIM market."
Sadly Trial results move us further along the timelines, but we'll have to agree to differ on the Grand Challenge issue.
I'll say I'm perhaps slightly more optimistic (timewise) than you are, and I'll stick with the catalyst being an unknown issue being announced (hopefully sooner rather than later).
In any case we'll all find out eventually! :-)

Wild,
Inadvertantly (I think) you've rather made my point for me too! :-)
Reading your comments on Grand Challenge (the import of which certainly isn't lost on me) you've posted,
"it's just a matter of waiting til November now ... but should they be successful, scancell will get to advance some of its technology with the up to 20M and help of some very big names in immuno oncology !"
So, although I'm not looking for the pitch for the CRUK grant to fail, BUT since virtually everyone on this BB's saying it's pretty well in the bag, should the grant not happen then that's a DISAPPOINTMENT requiring another 20M to appear to plug the gap.
This is precisely what's happened here time and time again. A potentially positive future event is done to death and then when it arrives nothing happens SP wise there's wringing of hands and all the reasons are trooped out as to why the market's wrong and distressed holders (ie underwater) are right.
I wish I knew what the catalyst for the journey to the moon for SCLP (SP wise) will be, but I've simply no idea. I wouldn't mind betting it'll be something that noone's even thought of, and let's face it, all the reasons that have been put forward here on this BB over the years haven't exactly been right have they?
