Lives will be lost we have to fight this with statistics ... not a complete collapse of the economy by closing down all movements ........... because when you think you have conquered it ... wrong up it pops again .. but you are now left with No Money (no tax income) and a second wave pandemic in an economy that already carries trillions of debt

If the Government can isolate the 20% ie anyone over the age of 60 .. then allow a pandemic to sweep the country so that the 80% have been exposed to the virus this creates the buffer to stop transmission in any future wave Ie, 80% is equivalent to heard immunity or a vaccine . That actually is the ideal scenario which keeps the ICU beds available for the .2% of the 80% who might develop complications.

The issue is isolating the 20% for 6 months

The virus is like many others that have come before it C7 for the majority it will be mild as such the impact on Scancells staff will be like any other cronovirus ie the common cold. No Vaccine against that has ever been developed even thou the value of that market could be immense

I agree Chester .. the trials are one route, but we have others, and the Labs at Scancell are still busy on TCR, Karolinska, other Immunobody programs, other moditope , Modi2 and possibly 3 programs still in development ..
the Cronovirus may hinder, but the IP is still being advanced in the background that as yet has not been quantified by the market.

scancell will not suffer like the general economy because we don't trade. The problem for any trial that involved the immune system is what is the effect on the immune system when patients on a trial then get the virus .. because this is a new Virus so many unknown factors come into play, however it can also be a positive or a negative. Because of the heightened cytokine release from the virus would also influence the attack on the cancer ..

so its far more difficult to quantify the trial than missed treatments dates etc. because we are dealing with the immune system.

its a real head scratch .......... however because of the severity of the cancer and the stage we are treating, i suspect very strict trial protocols of isolation would have to be put in place.

anyway at least the Gov Scientist are trying to create a herd immunity .. ! seems to get mentioned a lot lately on TV

i would suggest if your immune system has cleared the virus you are not a spreader

but like shingles it may be possible that this virus could remain dormant .. but pure speculation
