I have worn space suits to spray Two Pack acrylics .. isocyanate 1000 x more toxic than nail varnish .. (strong smell)
these are air fed ... but you can only wear them for a hour at best because the air is to dry, when you wear a charcoal filter mask (suitable for nail varnish) the sweat inside the mask after just a few mins drips off the mask when you take it off ... try it !!

I have a lot of experience with masks .. and trust me on this, the full face visor is the best protection .. because it keeps your hands away from your face ...

try riding your bicycle with a full face helmet on or a spray paint respirator ....... let me know how you get on .. then wear it all day while queuing at tesco

front line staff wear face shields with integral filters or expensive 3m type ... with visors. its the visor that stops droplet contact and stops hand to face
