Surely where this industry is unique is that whilst these next few months aren't going to be great and most cinemas will have to hibernate in some way, we have only lost Mulan as a product. These movies will be available next year and will allow cinemas to reap the box office be efits in a more stable environment. As long as we hold until Jan/Feb we should start seeing green shoots again. It was always about the product to increase footfall.
I think Black Widow moving had more of an impact on this share.
Just hold tight and don't look, I've got in at 50, then down to 46. Watched as we went to 30 then up to 68. Things change, just don't panic.
Mark, I love it that for every view you jump down the throat and call it deramping.
Are we to ignore everything that has a negative conitation. I'm just stating fact, not that it impacts my long term view and will certainly be holding on to my shares if not even topping up.
We'll see on Friday who is a deramper, but I know that cinemas are current review g film times. No wonder I only have 16 posts.

New rules DO unfortunately impact cinemas, last film needs to finish by 10pm
This share isn't going to get the momentum it needs until we get a good run of films. Product is more important than local lock downs. Cinemas will be lucky to hit 10% occupancy at the moment, without a good blockbuster.

Must admit I've watched it 3 times already and even though I enjoyed it more each time I was worried that the confusing elements would put the masses off, coupled with the low numbers I witnessed. Great news and potentially a strong month given the lack of titles. I really wanted this film to help ignite others to consider releasing titles sooner rather than later. The good new speaking to staff is that Trolls and Onward has performed equally as well with the families, proving that VOD won't impact as much as people would want us to believe.
I now hope Mulan becomes the most pirated movie of the decade, and follows similar route to when they released mandalorian last winter.
Just watched it the second time, wasn't sure the first time. Second time is amazing. Sounds strange but the experience of watching it is Tenet. First time unsure of what is happening, reverse to the beginning and play it out again with all the answers. A very different film and very clever from Nolan.
Just finished watching Tenet. Wow it is just like this share. Great frill ride, lots of excitement, but at times I gave up on trying to understand. If you liked inception and Bond you will love it, but needs a couple of more viewings to truly appreciate.
Been to the cinema tonight, unhinged was brutally brilliant.
This ad made me want to buy more shares, also some great trailers already hitting cinemas.

Speaking to a friend today who works in a cinema, 7 day pre sales for Tenet have surpassed the likes of Joker, deadpool, black panther. So much optimism right now, just need to see it in the sp

Tomorrow
Strange as if you look on the Odeon we are safer cinema page, it clearly states that masks don't need to be worn in screens.
That's the comms I've heard has been given to staff, because of social distancing in screens, like a cafe or rstaurant customers can remove in screens. It's just in places where close contact occurs. Not like the government not to be clear.

Who'd be a shorter right now
Tenet on sale next week, then Kindsman a week later.
Cinemas currently running at a profit on older releases.
Just need to keep the momentum going until furlough ends and then we will see a pice rise.
Plenty of optism from head office.
What some people forget it the cinema industry has always been susceptible to outside factors. This year would have been a tough year anyway with hot weather in April impacting Bond and the Euro football in June and Olympics this summer. We now have more blockbusters lined up than we we would have had. Tenet, new mutants and kingsmen already locked in. Cinemas will play these films across multiple screens making the 50% occupancy irrelevant. I'm in on this stock and feel that it will rise, perhaps next year but still a positive 2021.
