Hello guys,
This post isn't to deramp I've been invested in cine since last year and I've finally sold. Cine was a blessing has given me the best part of a deposit! I just wanted to thank all of you who have kept us going during the dark days and I hope and wish this share keeps going up so you can all make **** tons more!!!
Good luck to everyone! Make sure you invite me to the after-party !
If @ash is brining his economics dissertation, I'll bring mine on options valuation but going to have to wait a month before its complete haha.
I know a lot of us have been in this share for almost the best part of a year now and maybe considering leaving. I was wondering what everyone's target exit prices. Initially, mine was £1.00 then I moved the goal post to £1.20-£1.30. However, now I'm considering waiting till that reopening RNS before riding off into the sunset haha.
Also on a side note does anyone else get the jitters on the big rises to remind me of back when we would rise and a significant drop would follow it, I hope those days have long passed!
Barring the few rotten apples, this board is a lively environment that looks out for each other. We all know how some members kept us sane during the dark days and many, many many thanks to you all for that!
A weekly variant is part of the news cycle at this point, haha. The bright side looks like we are just shy of 105p now.
Haha we have finally hit £1 for the first time in almost a year happy days
A lot of us may be looking to reduce our holding in cine or completely exit in the near term, but before doing so I think there are a few events that may boost us another 20p-30p in the short term.
1. US stimulus package
2. Johnson and Johnson 1 shot vaccine approval
3. New Holland capital closing shorts
4. Imminent reopen RNS
I may be completely wrong, but I am cautiously optimistic. Good Luck to everyone!
Hey, guys lets all look on the bright side we are having a nice green day! Whenever any of us make money, it's happy days :)! Long gone are the days of IDW and shorter guy hahaha.
I won't be greedy I'll take the £75.32 per share!
@TimeShifted A class action has already need to be filled in the state of New York. The sheer amount of media attention this is getting is feeding the frenzy. It's already having a lot of positive impact on many other heavily shorted stocks. Just the fear of being caught up in this dog fight is causing many hedge funds to close their open short positions. That in turn is reflecting in a higher share price and swinging the momentum and sentiment behind the stocks.
I think at this point for many of the investors it has gone beyond just making money they want to see change and they are protesting using their wallets! This has caught the attention of the SEC and white house thing are getting crazy. This will be one for the history books!
@zstarz You have to spam #saveCINE on Twitter!
Given How the stock market is playing right now I feel like this only the start for AMC's rise. The MM have closed ( circuit breaker) on AMC 6 times since the market opened today. Take that information and interpret it how you will but if I was a shorter in a company with a big short; I would be scared. WallStreetbets / tiktok / robinhood etc. We have been given a lot of power as PI and entire hedge funds are looking scared. Goodluck everyone!!!!
I set up a $9 trigger price on AMC last night to execute at open but looking at the prices there is no way in hell that's going to execute. It was only going to be a small punt of £1k just to ride the hype train up but at $17 this is looking crazy. Might just have to sit in the background and wait for our cine train to shoot off!
Look on the bright side we are currently at our 3 month high. This was the price at which WB gave us the kickback down last time. I am very curious what will happen around the 80p mark this time. If memory serves me correct last time jhango reduced their holding significantly around that mark. However this time round we have funding secured and a massive vaccination program going on in both the major countries where cine operates!
Also might be worth noting :
Second dose (fully vaccinated): 460,625
I found this website quite interesting it shows the Cumulative COVID-19 vaccination doses administered per 100 people amount other things. The results are quite impressive. Isreal is leading the pack at over 20 per 100 people of 1/5 of the population. You can see the full break down here https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vaccinations
Thanks for the update! What are the implications from this release from Jangho? Has the intention of building a significant stake been more inclined towards the potential profits from the upside or a recovery? or has it been in order to build a position in order to make a takeover build? so many mysteries!
The article is behind a paywall but for anyone who wants to read it:
Number of UK vaccination mega-centres to be expanded sevenfold .
Prime minister wants 50 sites to be operating as soon as possible, Whitehall insiders say
The number of UK vaccination “mega-centres” at locations such as sports stadiums and conference centres will increase sevenfold in the coming weeks under plans being drawn up by the government.
Boris Johnson has so far announced seven such supercentres at sites including the Excel Centre in London, Millennium Point in Birmingham and Ashton Gate stadium in Bristol.
But the prime minister intends to set up 50 centres as soon as possible, according to Whitehall figures.
Matt Han****, health secretary, said on Sunday that 2m vaccinations had been given in the UK — including to a third of the people aged over 80. He said that the pace of vaccinations would pick up and the government was “on course” to meet its target of delivering 2m vaccinations a week.
“The rate-limiting factor at the moment is supply but that’s increasing and I’m very glad to say that at the moment we are running at over 200,000 people being vaccinated every day,” he told Sky News on Sunday.
The Johnson government has set an ambitious target of vaccinating 14m people by mid-February, to cover the four main priority groups set out by government scientific advisers, including the over 70s, doctors and care workers.
Vaccinations will be available at more than 1,000 general practitioner-led sites, 223 hospitals and seven large facilities by the end of this week. But there are plans to step up capacity even further in the coming weeks, bringing 50 mass vaccination centres into play as well as 200 pharmacies.
That would take the total number of coronavirus vaccination hubs to about 1,500. The mass vaccination centres allow inoculations to be done on a much larger scale, with some able to vaccinate four people per minute.
For example in Derby Arena, one of the new sites, the centre is hosting vaccinations by five primary care networks — representing 30 general practices around the city.
Mr Han**** also said that every adult in the UK will have been offered a coronavirus vaccine by the autumn. “We’ve got over 350m doses on order, they’re not all here yet and we’re rolling them out as fast as they’re delivered. We’re going to have enough for everyone over the age of 18,” he told the BBC on Sunday.
NO FEAR you seem to pop up wherever I go O.o. I got in a few days ago after watching the price rocket as you did and kicking myself but still see a massive upside with this so took a little punt. But like you most of my money is tied up in cine. bought my shares through free trade as the other platforms were giving me issues but you have AJ bell so should be a problem. Good luck!
This is the closest I could find to a list of the major institutional investors in cine. I thought It would be interesting for everyone to see:
