What are the chances probability wise that they will make an offer? Also if they do intend to make an offer im sure we will see them continuing to raise thier stake. Who would want to pay a premium on the share when you can keep hovering them up cheaper on the open market.
What do you think the current fair price of cine should be?
Cinemark is trading at 50% of its pre covid price.
Cine is trading at 31% of its pre covid price.
AMC is trading at 28% of its pre covid price.
Cine is riskier than Cinemark but a lot less risky than AMC so it would stand to reason that compared to its major competitors the share price should be closer to 90p(40%).
That's just my opinion on what I think the fair price should be around. What do you think?
Happy new year to you all! Wish everyone the best in the coming year!
Yes, this is definitely not the kind of recovery we all expected after the Brexit news and impending vaccine approval but as we have come to know with this share it behaviours very strangely at times. Look on the bright side a gentle calm and consistent rise of the next month is more mentally pleasing than a massive rise followed by an equally large dip within the same day.
@zstarz @selecta6 @luckylurker sure you'd all be a pleasure to have round. Lockdown will end sooner rather than later and you can all join your loved ones! Enjoy the movies at home will be back in the cinema soon enough ;)
Merry Xmas and best wishes to you all! keep safe and enjoy the time with your loved ones!
Take this with a pinch of salt until it's confirmed :
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/dec/23/eu-countries-prepare-for-possible-imminent-brexit-deal
https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2020/12/23/brexit-news-latest-deal-today-eu-uk-ports-lockdown-boris-johnson/
Both suggest that a deal is imminent. Day(s) at most hours at best.
Correct me if I'm wrong but this is the highest position jangho has held in cine? Slightly higher than the position they held a few months ago?
@zstarz thank you for your input. The majority of the board members will have a plethora of more experience than me and as such the wisest course of action I'm my case is to explore, research and absorb as much as I can!
Everyone's input is valued as it helps me to build a holistic view. There will always be strong arguments for and against every decision but ultimately the buck will stop with me.
@ Ashstash89 Thank you for the response! I'd love to pick your brain further. I'm 21 and already feeling like my backs gonna give in haha.
At this risk of not bothering anyone, my email is : imyhu123@gmail dot com .
Hey, this post is off-topic and not related to cine but I know a lot of the members on this board have a wealth of life experience and it would be an injustice not to pick your brains.
I'm in my final year of uni studying maths and computer science. Like most of you, I've invested in cine and a few other recovery stocks which I plan on holding for the mid-long term. Once I finish with uni I'm looking to get into software development or a similar field, but I don't want my income to be solely dependent on that single source.
As with most people I've looked into real estate. What other opportunities would you direct me into looking towards to research and explore? I'm definitely not adverse to work long hours as I personally enjoy watching things develop and grow.
I would like to thank you in advance to anyone who takes the time to reply and you can even pick me up as a mentee ;) for everyone else sorry for the off-topic post! As the proverb goes, the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I have squeed!
Hi @Drifty69 Thank you for the detailed response! I'll definitely have a look into both NEX and SAGA and look for a nice entry point so I can expand my portfolio. Also, a thank you to yourself I've been hiding in this bb for a long time your posts have been very helpful.
@ LTHcine I'll be looking into Aston martin too. Appreciate the recommendation!
I have a little extra change to invest. This board seems to have some very sound individuals. Which other stocks would you recommend looking into to diversify with strong growth/ recovery potential?
Happy Birthday, you're the same age as my old man O.o basically a dinosaur! I've not posted before but I have been lurking on this board since we were at 80p so it's been a fair few months. I've not got much invested like most only 19k shares but would have written it off and tossed it if it wasn't for you rs dirfty and alike. So a special thanks and have a great one!
