RE: The straight line of departure for Shorters continues20 May 2026 09:39
@cureboy volume seems to have a big say in level of movement as well. Today not even 750k shares traded so price has fallen but no significant will to sell which seems to be the norm. Some of those 750k could well be shorts selling additional shares to drive the price down, but as soon as they start buying in significant numbers ( which they have to do with still around 14,000,000 shares declared short, there could be significantly more sitting at less than 0.5% ) then the price will rise in line with that.
Shorts / LTH / ITM all know what the medium term prospect is for this share, but there is a tug of war in terms of escape from this position they have built up. They want to exit at the lowest price they can, having failed in the 20's now they must get out, and it just depends on what they can do to the price in the short term to create volume to allow them to exit, and can they create enough uncertainty by moving the price to persuade profit taking amongst those not invested for the long term.
My opinion, not fact, not advice :)
